I read about this today. There is very little supporting her claims including a lie detector that he passed. This guy has been dragged through the mud for a month based on lies. That’s unfortunate. She has done a disservice to him and to all of the women that are actually victims.

There really does need to be some course of action to discipline someone who does this. As you pointed out it hurts all those other women who really are victims. It is a fine line because I do not ever want a true victim of rape to feel they can not step forward. People who have been a victim of sexual abuse have already undergone so much pain the last thing they need is to be doubted. Just a bad thing all the way around. It did not take long for someone to try to take advantage of all the sexual misconduct that has been publicized.

assault is a crime and has to be reported first to the police for going forward

 

pretending a panel of deans can do this without police involvement is a travesty

 

a few years ago at Michigan a defensive lineman was finally confronted after the Bowl game for exposure and whatnot, i guess the physical description of him on complaints during the season wasn't sufficient enough to narrow it down for investigation

This is pretty bad. The guy basically said that he didn’t want to date her so she tried to ruin his life. It really is a messed up situation.
