Good point, but i was going for mediocrity here............and nothing says mediocre quite like the Bills the past 17 yrs.

You got that right.  Its like being the Browns but fooled into some hope because of 5-2.  At least Browns fans know they are going to be bad.

I thought 6-10 at the beginning of the year as did most posters here in a poll.

All things considered 8-8 wouldn't be a bad first year.  Just losing to the Patriots, that just always sucks!

Not really.  Since our last playoff game the Bills achieved 8-8 or 9-7 only 5 times in 17 years.  Our average record over the last 17 years is actually 6-10 or 7-9.  Not that it really makes a difference.

Since the beginning of the 2014 season, Bills are exactly .500. 30-30.

How much has changed in the last 5 years?

It’s Reboot time and we should shelf the Ralph and co failures with that of the Pegulas.

Why is it "Reboot time"?  Despite the big deal made about all the changes at OBD, the Bills have pretty much managed player personnel the same crappy way they have for 17 years: let talented players walk rather than pay them and replaced them with high draft picks and scrubs.   Face it: the Bills desperately needed to replace Stephon Gilmore, so they couldn't take a QB then even though 2 good prospects were still available.   How many other times in the last 17 years have the Bills passed on more talented players because they "needed" to replace a DB, WR or RB they got rid of?

What's so special about 2014?

The standards have gotten so low in Buffalo that Bills fans don't know what a good coach/GM looks like anymore.

Really wasnt too hard to do a better job than Rex. He was atrocious.

Unfortunately true. The last two decent ones were Phillips and Marrone imo. They both had faults , but did enough good things to win. GM? Heck I even thought Butler was mostly riding the coattails of Polian and seemed out of his league in the salary cap era. I'm not all that shot in the arse with Beane at this point . He'll have to ace the draft because the team looks less talented than last year.

It means you should not blame 15 years prior on the Pegulas.

Yeah it still sucks but fair is fair.

Another way to look at it.

You don’t punish the son for the parents crimes.
