Pectoral Injury Lands Cornerback Pierre Desir On IR

Quote

By Andrew Walker - colts.com

Intro: Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano on Monday said cornerback Pierre Desir suffered a torn pectoral muscle in Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, and will miss the rest of the season. What all did we learn on the day?

Im not trying to sound too sarcastic with this statement but against the Bills, does it really matter who is in the secondary against our passing offense?

Not as much as it would help other teams, but it doesn’t hurt

Is this an awkwardly worded attempt to say that he has other injuries?

Joe B just dislocated his jaw. And by extension his typing fingers. Poor guy.

Here's the thing.

We play well against crappy teams and especially crappy QBs that can't take advantage of our nonexistent LBers.

We'll take care of Indy.

TAILGATE WEATHER: Cold, to be sure, but "we've had colder." 8 a.m. temp: near 20, with moderate wind chill. Chance of light snow showers.

GAME TEMPERATURE: 24-28.

WIND: NW: 10-15 becoming W later in the afternoon and increasing to 15-25. Impact on passing/kicking game may become more significant during the course of the game, but not unmanageable.

PRECIPITATION: Chance of occasional light snow showers on and off, but there is also at least a small chance of organized lake effect snow developing late in the game and afterward.

FORECAST: Uncomfortably cold. Mostly cloudy with occasional light snow showers and a significant wind chill, especially in the afternoon. Chance of more organized lake effect snow later in the afternoon which would, if it developed, slow travel at least south of the city.

Rodak you are a hack. Pointing out the obvious. This is the equivalent to grading my love making skills after my first time in the era of no internet porn for referencing the basics and with another virgin also.

Nice job dipwad. Now get back to watching Patriots replays from the last 2 decades. Something you are good at.

Oh and PS: what the hell is a stat "yds per attempt" even good for or serve any purpose? It should only matter how many yds you avg per completion. They have this little maybe unknown stat to you Rodak called completion % that will tell you more than "yds per attempt". What a BS stat. Who freaking cares about that.

Quincy Wilson Continues To Work To Earn More Playing Time

Quote

By Ross Hollebon - colts.com

Intro: Indianapolis Colts rookie cornerback Quincy Wilson on Sunday played in just his third game of the season after a nagging knee injury, among other factors, landed him on the inactives list for most of the year. Wilson hopes to get the opportunity to get more opportunities .

7. Buffalo Bills (6-6)

Remaining opponent winning percentage: .479 (23-25)

Reason for optimism: Buffalo plays Indianapolis (3-9) Sunday and Miami (5-7) twice in the final three weeks.

Reason for pessimism: A rematch with New England awaits in Week 16, which doesn't bode well considering how badly the Bills were overmatched at home in last Sunday’s 23-3 loss to the Patriots. Rookie quarterback Nate Peterman, who threw five first-half interceptions in his lone NFL start against the Chargers, will get thrown to the wolves again if Tyrod Taylor can't play through a bruised kneecap.

Biggest remaining game: It's unrealistic to expect Buffalo to win in New England, so sweeping the other three games is basically a necessity to remain in wild-card contention.

If they fall short ...: The Bills will have squandered a 5-2 start to their season to miss the playoffs for an 18th straight year.

7 things we learned about the Colts

By Ryan Talbot | Contributing writer

It's possible that 9-7 gets one AFC team into the playoffs. If the Buffalo Bills want to give themselves a chance to end their playoff drought they need to take care of business in Week 14 against the Indianapolis Colts. Here's a look at seven things we've learned about the team Buffalo will host on Sunday.

Indianapolis ran with success against Jacksonville

Defense stopped Jacksonville's run game

Colts struggle on the road

T.Y. Hilton is still dangerous

Buffalo should be able to get into backfield

Jacoby Brissett struggled

A potential trade partner?

Indianapolis Colts at Buffalo Bills (n/a)

Sunday, 1 p.m., CBS

The Colts can't stop the run. The Bills can't stop the run. One team has LeSean McCoy, and the other has venerable Frank Gore. Should Tyrod Taylor miss the game for Buffalo, it won’t be easy with Nathan Peterman. But expect the hosts to keep it simple and feed McCoy often to keep their front from being exposed by Gore, Marlon Mack and some Jacoby Brissett. A lot of running, a lot of field goals, a little Bills victory.

PICK: Bills win 19-16.

Indianapolis Colts (3-9) at Buffalo Bills (6-6)

Sunday, 1 p.m., CBS

Once again, an example of why you can't just throw games away. Maybe the Bills would have beaten the Chargers with Tyrod Taylor, maybe they wouldn’t have. But in hindsight, with Taylor day-to-day with a knee injury from the Patriots game, they’re stuck with two bad decisions: playing him hurt or playing a still-raw Nathan Peterman in a game they can’t afford to lose. In their defense, the Colts get worse every week, so it may be moot.

Prediction: Bills, 18-10
