I'm old enough to remember watching Leroy Kelly in black and white when the Browns were good and their games were the closest broadcasts CBS would show in WNY every Sunday. There's now an entire generation who could say the same about watching another KELLY playing for the Bills when they once were a contender. I was a LeRoy Kelly fan back in the days before Buffalo drafted OJ Simpson and I discovered the Bills.
TheFunPolice Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 They cannot get good wearing the college store pajama pants they wear now. They had good, solid, classic uniforms before Nike came in and decided it was time to add 35 extra elements to every team's look. 1
BillsVet Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 How will Lions fans feel if Cleveland goes 0-16 as well? Their claim to the most pathetic NFL season would be over.

Well, young feller, I remember Marion Motley and Otto Graham and Lou Groza and Dante Lavelli and Mike McCormack and all the other guys who went to 10 straight championships, winning five, AAFC records included. But technically the logo is not on the helmet, they just wear the orange helmets and use the orange helmet as a logo when needed since just the color orange is not a logo...

Their current streak is they lost their last 25 games. Its a good thing they keep trading back and passing on Qb's. Moneyball! ?? Some people here really bought into that.

They are 1-25 over their last 26 games, 4-44 over their last 48 and 11-48 over their last 59 games....and the season before that they lost their last 5 games so you can expand that to 11-53 over their last 64...might be the worst 64 game record in NFL history and if not its gotta be Damn close.... In comparison for as bad as the Bills have been they are 30-29 over the same time span...we actually are 1 game above .500 for the past almost 4 seasons...easily the best 4 season stretch in the drought That's because unlike what most want to think and believe here, the Bills aren't and haven't bee a bad team. They are mediocre and just not good enough to make the playoffs. But because Bills fans love misery, they like to believe they have been horrible and comparable to the Browns dumpster tire fire
BillsFan130 Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 Its always nice to know that that it can be worse than being a Bills fan

They prefer mediocre .500 team in "the hunt" every year. We all agree on wanting the monkey off our back though. I hope we can squeak into the playoffs this year somehow. Seriously though, If the Browns pass on the best QB next draft they do deserve to suck for infinity and beyond. Passing on Mahomes once and Watson twice must have their fans still pissed? The Browns have had one season since coming back into the league where they made the playoffs, and have been drafting near the top ever since. Maybe people realise that just because you draft near the top of the draft it doesn't mean your getting anything good. Ryan Leaf was once debated on as whether he or Peyton Manning would go #1 overall. Vince young was a #1, there's plenty others too. Much better spend your seasons hoping for 0-16 then atleast having a sliver of hope your team might make the playoffs this year
aceman_16 Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 Sounds like a fun parade. Drunkin' debauchery is always a good time!

Getting high draft picks and squandering them for nearly a decade by drafting busts and mediocre players...Ki-Jana Carter and Akili Smith anyone? No idea how you miss that badly on a #1 and #3 overall pick within that short a timeframe...not to mention a few years befor3 Carter they took David Klinger #6 overall...2 top 6 QB busts...but at least the third time was a charm when they took Carson Palmer #1 overall 4 years after Smith... Bills fans take note of that...drafted 3 QBs in the top 6 in 11 years and first 2 were busts... They eventually got it fixed but it took them a long long time of drafting in the top 10 every year. Browns are actually worse than those Bengals from both a talent and record standpoint. Edited November 30, 2017 by matter2003
SaviorPeterman Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 As sad as the Browns organization is at least they've been to the playoffs once in the last 17 years unlike the Bills. Either way they need to get serious and make sure they finally get a franchise QB this year since they are likely getting the #1 overall pick even if they manage to win one game.
Mr. WEO Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 I think when they hired both that guy from the Mets and their team lawyer to run the team, the NFL should have stepped in to take the team away from Haslem. Predictable disaster.

Take heed of the Bengals as I posted above...took 3 QBs in the top 6(#6,#3,#1 overall) in 12 years before they got it right...drafting a QB high doesn't equal success...in fact there is a better than 50-50 chance it won't...that said they still have to try it.

Very true and the same applies to the Bills. This is why I caution all the fans that think we are in some sort of can't lose proposition this year with all the draft picks we have in terms of addressing the QB position Because it won't mean a thing if... 1) A team in the top 5-10 range isn't willing to trade with the Bills no matter what we offer 2) We draft the wrong guy 3) We do draft the right guy but ruin him with bad coaching or he gets hurt behind a terrible oline (both very much in question as it pertains to this team right now) So many things truly need to line up to find an elusive franchise QB....

Oh wow, they got to the playoffs only to lose that game one time since they came back into the league, hold your heads high Browns fans, at least your not the Bills who haven't made the playoffs but at least make it past september/October almost every year still "in the hunt". Even then they got their QB and then another allowing them to let rhe first one go, and they have only one playoff win over that time IIRC. And wasn't that win credited to the backup and not the current starter?

The Bengals became immediately good with Carson Palmer..before that knee injury he was amazing...took him a few years to truly come back from it...wasnt the same guy til he got to Arizona...

Good in the regular season, but what had he or the team done in the playoffs? I dont think he had gotten out of the 1st round, not until McCarron played and they one the one game
KGun12TD Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 I'll take the Bills 17 year drought any day than being a Browns fan. UGH! That is a wretched sports franchise.
