He also has that crazy Gumby-like knee. From the way it bent backwards in the Jets game, and then came back in. the reason he left that game again, and was held out of the next game, wasn’t even the knee, it was his ankle.

He was referring to a different play where Zay didn't drag his back foot that resulted in an incomplete pass.

Looks like a bit of an optical illusion - If you watch his right leg closely, you can see that it's actually bent enough for him to be pushing off of it. The camera angle makes it look like the right leg is straighter than it really is.

This guy is keeping his left knee on the floor. Zays left knee doesn't actually touch the ground, so zay's actually looks alot cooler

He just did it with opposite legs,  his left leg kicks and posts on his right knee

First time I saw it, was like WTF!

 

I think it's just the camera angle, you don't see the momentum he gained from the push off with his arms. He got his CG over his feet solely with the push off.

I of course not strong enough and now too old to do it. My frame stays down. I can not straighten up and just go forward.

 

My 10 yr old son can do it. Not as dramatic as Jones as my son stumbles just a little forward but he can do it.(son does a lot of push ups and planks daily so has core strength)
