mary owen Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 whatta dumbass! (hope this wasn't already posted) Cardinals RB is arrested at airport, cut by team Mar. 5, 2005 12:00 AM A newly signed Cardinals running back was arrested Friday at Sky Harbor International Airport after he allegedly stole another flier's laptop. Larry Lee Ned, 26, joined the team Thursday when he was claimed off waivers from Minnesota. Ned was arrested with the computer at 1:50 p.m. in a men's bathroom in Terminal 4, said Detective Tony Morales, a spokesman for the Phoenix police department. Moments earlier, Ned had walked through a security checkpoint. After he went through the detector, he picked up a Dell laptop at the end of the scanner, Morales said. The laptop's owner was still going through the screening process. Phoenix police officers stationed at the airport found Ned hiding in a nearby men's restroom, Morales said. Ned was arrested and booked on a theft charge, he said. On Friday evening, the Cardinals announced that Ned had been released, and that they had re-signed running back Damien Anderson.
JoeF Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 For a Dell????? It could have at least been a think pad or a Mac.... :-)--Jesus, Dell is practically giving laptops away....

Guy makes a kazillion dollars and he has to steal? What a numbnut.
stevestojan Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 So, the guy just gave up a contract HOW big for a laptop? I just got a dell, love it (was gonna go thinkpad otherwise, but for same specs, would have paid $800 more - Thinkpads are overpriced). Anyway, I really don't get this. Any chance it was a misunderstanding? I mean WHY? ... dumb f-ck.

As an aside, can we please start posting links instead of just cutting and pasting the whole story? Technically, it's the law; besides, it makes things easier to send to others. CW

Realist Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Why would Ray Lewis be hiding in a trunk? 265536 Ray Lewis in the trunk? Wasn't that Rae Carruth after he had someone shoot his girlfriend and unborn child?

CW 265533 Technically it is only against the law if you get caught. Especially if you are showing your teenage son how to do it.
stevestojan Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Ray Lewis in the trunk? Wasn't that Rae Carruth after he had someone shoot his girlfriend and unborn child? 265538 already fixed.
Realist Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 already fixed. 265541 We were probably typing it at the same time.
stevestojan Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 We were probably typing it at the same time. 265543 My apologies to the law abiding, role model Ray Lewis <_<

CW 265533 i normally do post the link, but azcentral randomly asks for age, gender, email address. so I wanted to spare people that.
Dan Gross Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Here's one without the demographic pandering (who says you have to answer those things honestly anyway?): http://www.benmaller.com/archives/2005/mar...at_airport.html Repeat after me: Google news is my friend. (yeah, I know, cha-ching GG).
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Jeezus the Cards are having an active off-season! LOL
lawnboy1977 Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 If I were the cards, I would just take one of the RBs coming out of the draft if they can get one of the top 3 guys with their #8 pick. Green wants an explosive guy ala Faulk or Michael Bennett, a guy with speed. TH don't have that.
