...ALL on the outside surmising, hypothesizing and guessing as much as the TBD gang did, right?.....let us know when you have the actual FACTS and UNSPOKEN OBD truth.....good luck....

The whole thing played out as bad as it could have gone. Fred Smerlas said before the game that the move was bad. He talked about the sixth seed, the locker room etc... Being a former player, he knows more than any of us to what goes on, I think.

I think they should beat Miami and the Colts at home as long as TT plays. I also think a 20-18 record for an average at best team isn't terrible. Any other QB on the roster wouldn't have come close to that. He's the best we have had in a bit. I don't think we will ever contend again, to be honest.  I'm for appreciating any win when it comes, now. This bunch needs a QB, new RB when McCoy is traded next season, new O line, new D line and so on. This bunch is as clueless as any other, maybe more so IMO.

they may be, time will tell. I'm still interested in why they lost the other 4 games? you're pretty adamant that starting peterman was the reason for them losing last week.

A guy that was one of the best NT ever and played when the NFL was a lot tougher, yes. He's from the NE area, so he roots for NE and the Bills. Is it his fault that the Bills have been an organization of ineptitude for far too long? No.

....c'mon, let's be REAL here....Smerlas, any other former Bills player, any media urinalist, or ANY TBD pundit do NOT know the inner "behind the scenes workings" that led up to the decision or who actually made it PERIOD....I'd bet even your renowned "Bobby the American" Matthews doesn't know (LOL-couldn't resist)...it is all conjecture, hypotheses, media frenzy, speculation or self proclaimed "I AM IN THE KNOW" from "unnamed sources".........we'll NEVER know PERIOD..............

JM2009 will not tolerate any opinion that isn’t supportive of tryhard taylor. It’s a pointless exercise.

I think Dennison may have pushed McDermott a bit in this. Maybe Dennison should be the one who needs  to go.Should have kept the offense the same and played to TT strengths.

Or just cut him in the offseason.

I won't support agendas. TT just happens to be the best QB we have had in a bit. He's not the long term answer, but  we haven't had better since he has been here. That's all there is to any of it.

And he is still not good. He’s at best an 8-8 , 9-7 guy. No thanks.

And why? Look what we saw Sunday. I'm sorry you have an irrational hate for one player. The offense scored a lot of points the last two seasons. There wasn't a better alternative.

Why? Because he’s OBVIOUSLY not the answer long term.

Except TT has 20 wins. So I guess he can win, huh?So nice to see "fans" rooting for the worst when he plays. At 5-4, and with the sixth seed, it was ridiculous for the HC to start Peterman. That is why he got blasted from the  media and other NFL players. Your posting isn't as cocky and snide as it was a week ago. I wonder why. SMH

Yes he has 20 wins, 7 years in the league and that a commendable achievement in the league. And yes there was some negative commentary from some national media and a few player that I know of publically, but I'm sure you are talking about  Richard Sherman. I am certain none that was taken in consideration in either QB decision. Maybe you think it should.

Also, I always root for the Bills to win regardless of the QB playing or whether I think it is best for the team long term. You should stop making assumptions and derogatory statements about others on this board who have differing opinions, they are all valid.

lol and again, what QB have we had that could do better with this roster since 2015-none. This team has had average at best talent since 2015, and below average this season. 20 wins from that isn't horrible.

I think you have more of an agenda than you admit or perhaps recognize, but that's fine with me.  You bashed Tyrod's awful play against the Saints, so good for you.  I don't really care who plays qb this year.  I'm not interested in getting into the playoffs as a marginal wild card team in a year where the AFC is pathetically weak.  If one does care about that, Taylor makes more sense.  I thought Peterman might fit Dennison's offense better, but the oline is so bad you need a fella with Taylor's athleticism.

He's been a starter for 2 and 1/2 seasons. 38 games.  38 chances.

...look, the decision was made for whatever reason and by whom, both of which we will NEVER know the answers.....Savage got benched for Watson.....Hoyer for Bethard...Glennon for Tribusky, etc.....don't think any of those came under as much major media scrutiny as Peterman for TT.....panic mode to stop the two game hemorrhaging?....who knows.....look at KC's ship taking on water and Andy has yet to go to Mahomes.....Andy is seasoned and McD is a neophyte pupil of his.....Andy is where he is today, despite a woeful playoff record because he grew and learned from his mistakes as a HC.....no way in hell should McD be entitled to growing pains in his position I guess............

I never thought there was any great mystery to the decision. Taylor plays well in three games - Bucs, Raiders, and Jets - plays poorly against the Saints, and then was benched. Meanwhile the defense is allowing a league-worse 400 yards of total offense per game over that same span. Explanation? Taylor is a holdover from the former regime and the evidence so far shows McBeane will go the long extra, extra mile to eliminate the past wherever remotely possible. But how was it even possible you ask? Simple again : They thought the System trumps everything : experience, performance, talent, skill. Peterman (they thought) fit their system, so would be a better quarterback automatically. They've made similar decisions before, this one was just more embarrassing and obviously wrong.
