Gte back to me when you really have common sense.

Here we go! Let's act like a 5 year old and direct comments at posters without offering an analysis or prior history that supports your own beliefs. No thanks. That's what you have been doing around here for the past few months. It comes off as arrogant, plenty of arrogant posters that can formulate takes are worth engaging, unfortunately you haven't shown that yet.

5 year old?  Who's calling names. Your take was dumb. Goff made a horrible throw. Period.

Watkins is not a receiver you want to throw an end zone fade to. He doesn’t have the vertical separation you need on that kind of play. He lets the DB come in and break up the play. I don’t know how anyone watches Sammy play this year and think he is elite. He’s a good receiver and a legit #1 for half the league or so. Just not worth the elite contract he will get.

You just said hes a number 1 for half the league- so roughly 15th, for bar napkin math? That’s about dead on the cutoff for 10m+ a year

just watching the last quarter of this game.  watkins looks lazy and half assed.

26copypaste defending this guy to death is hilariously bad.

Im admittedly on the fence with that interception. I’d want to see it again but I suspect that he didn’t leave a ton of opportunity on the field that play and it looked worse because they were both coasting out of bounds at the end so there was no opportunity to fight or tackle or show fire. It was a bad pass, he adjusted and tried to make a tough play and the defender was in the right spot at the right time.

an elite wr should reocognize that opportunity to be there

Watkins had a decent game today but he's nothing more than a 3rd WR on a very good team.

Same thing with a lot of the starters we have, on better teams they are nothing more than backups and role players.

Either way people need to move on, the Watkins trade was a good one for this team long term regardless of whether or not we keep Gaines.

Watkins was rock solid today as was Goff.

Rams keep on winning.

Nice game for Watkins........4 for 82 and a TD and a couple PI's for close to the same yardage.

If Goff could throw a deep ball he'd have had another 70 or so and another TD on that deep shot PI he drew.

Bills greatly miss his impact offensively........killing Tyrod and Shady in particular.......and having to run Watkins' routes has not been flattering to Zay Jones or helped his development, IMO.

Go back to defending Peterman.......  A #3 that has drawn #1 and double coverage.....  Really.....

Today Goff missed him 2-3 times and yes may have had a drop.

But also a td, a great juggling catch and three over 20 yards.

He is the #3 WR on the Rams behind Cupp (a rookie) and Robert Woods.

I never said he's not a good player but at least with the Rams he's nothing more than a 3rd option. Probably why he won't resign there even if they want to keep him because he's a typical selfish player and probably believes he can put up 1500+ yards a season on another team as the #1 option.

Problem is some people still believe he'd make a difference here this season and that TT would magically be a different QB with him still on the roster. This is false.

Anyone else notice the single high safety was on the boundary or field hash to Watkins side almost every time he was split out wide, even when he was the lone receiver to either side of the field?

Easier on the other receivers when the defense brackets or doubles Watkins

That's the kind of coverage that every team's 3rd WR gets all across the league.

Every game.

What most people dont know about Revis Island was that it was more of an archipelago. He followed the number three WR wherever he went.

Yep.  Some absolutely HORRIBLE takes in this thread.  I’m starting to wonder whether there is more to it, but I’ll leave it at that.

Woods, Kupp, and Watkins look great out there together. Thing is, all the Rams WRs get throws (except Austin, who sucks).

Are you talking about Gaines or Matthews who have both missed multiple games this season?

I didn't make a comparison.
Ability is dependent on availability.
I agree that Gaines and Matthews' absences have been frustrating...just like Sammy's were in years past.
