Kingston Bills Fan Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 We can’t waste all our picks moving up to get a QB with massive holes on D-Line and O-Line. Any q.b we get will get killed behind this line, especially with Wood and Incognito another year older! We need to use our 6 top picks on O-line and D-line then draft a Q.B. the following year when he’ll have a chance to survive! Just keep Tyrod or pick up a Stop gap QB, fix our O-line and D-line. Then draft a QB and give him a chance. Finally build properly! 1
Big Turk Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 None of that matters unless we get a QB. A QB can cover up for a LOT of holes on both sides of the ball...look at what Rodgers has done, and Manning did and other great QBs do... 1

Not a Rookie QB, we have the chance to actually fix a ton of holes next year if we are smart. If we do the impulsive thing and move up get a qb and fix nothing else it would set us back years IMO. Imagine the holes we would have the following year! Along with a probably beat down beat up rookie QB who would probably be ruined

Without Manning the Colts were a FAR worse team than the Bills are now and look at what happened when they drafted Luck
Best Player Available Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Does anyone trust these new OBD clowns to draft well? I don't. Considering the 3rd string scrub QB McD picked this last draft.

And our team is a TON older we have big holes and the few places we don’t have holes the guys there are old an will be done in a couple years!

Yes, we have LOTS of holes, but tonsaybthat there’s only one way to build this team up is just ridiculous. We can trade up for a QB and still build a winner. We can fill all the other holes and get a qb in FA or next year. Rome wasn’t built in a day and there isn’t one way to build it. Don’t act like you know there’s only one way.

Yes I have...imagine 16 games like that and that's what that team was.
BmarvB Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 There's only so much a QB can do behind THAT line. TT's ability to escape pressure is serving him well. Stay with him until the next guy beats him out

If you can't, you get the best overall talent with the picks you have and improve the team around Tyrod on the hopes you can get a QB worth getting the following draft. 1

Kingston Bills Fan Posted November 20, 2017 Author Posted November 20, 2017 I’m not saying to NOT grab a qb. If there is a good qb when we draft our first pick grab him! Just don’t give up our whole draft to reach on a qb! Then stick him in a hopeless situation for next 3 years!

The question is do they trade Cordy, Shady and Hughes to add the additional picks required to do that? The Bills are going to be a young team. No reason to keep those three in year two of a rebuild. I would also say, the QB does not have to be selected in the top ten of the first round for them to be a potential franchise guy.

Pine Barrens Mafia Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Here's my plan to fix the issues this team has: Free agecy: Star latouleteililieleila or however it's spelled. Best available MLB Best available RT. Get rid of Glenn (who's perma-injured), Move dawkins to LT. Find anyone you can to fill in at RG who isn't a turnstile. Draft: We need either Rosen or Mayfield. Trade whatever assets necessary to acquire. Draft LBs, and more OL. UFA: Running backs, and a receiver or two. 1
Kingston Bills Fan Posted November 20, 2017 Author Posted November 20, 2017 Remember a stop gap could serve a year or two Alex Smith might be available with Mahomes looking to start.
Fadingpain Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Do what it takes to get a name QB that can truly make a difference for this franchise. For a freaking change! Once that man is on board, go into "fill gap" mode the best we can. Just remember, teams that are horrible enough to land huge name QBs usually have a few years of suffering once the big name QB comes on board and the team slowly builds around them. I am thinking of the Bills with Jim Kelly, and the Cowboys with Troy Aikman. Both were horrible teams until the team filled in around the stud QB. Get the QB first, fill in around that person 2nd. Get on board for several more years of no playoffs, too, b/c we won't be any good for a few years yet.
GETTOTHE50 Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 draft Oline and dline and sign kirk cousins to whatever he wants.
Bob in STL Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 If you can trade up to get the right QB then do it but you don't trade up to get any other position. Besides QB we need DL, LB and OL to be addressed in the first 4 rounds. 1
