stuckincincy
Those stats are great but, don't be too hasty. It doesn't tell the story of the number of times he was out of position and got burned. I saw most of the Panthers games last year and Gamble showed a lot of promise but I wouldn't be that excited about him yet. Also, since he was the rookie last year QB's went after him a lot, so he had many more opportunities to make plays. 265495 Quite right - your direct observations are more important, and the point about him being tested is taken. I'd guess that CAR is pleased so far, and we'll both see how he does in the coming season.
Dawgg
For a starting cornerback in his rookie season? Those stats are excellent. He was among the league leaders in interceptions so it's not like he didn't make any plays. Add to that the fact that Carolina suffered many injuries on the defensive side of the ball... I think he had a solid rookie season. With Lucas covering the #1 receiver all game, Gamble will be a lot more effective. Those stats are great but, don't be too hasty. Alaska Darin
Again, the Pitt starting o-line played the entire game. Let's not rewrite history. 265336 No they didn't - but they did play the majority. Willie Parker isn't a scrub and would be a very nice backup to WM.
