Over 29 years of fanhood Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Nfl needs young stars to build the brand .......they’re staved. What happened?
Woodman19 Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 the running QB in college is what happened to the NFL.
Doc Brown Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Luck, Rodgers, Winston, and Watson all injured. We do have Wentz and Goff putting in terrific sophomore seasons though so not all is lost.

Boatdrinks Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Well, no it doesn't. The Bills do, and probably the fans but not the NFL.

There may be less running QBs in college right now than any other era. We don’t have 3 top 10 teams running a wishbone as we had until the mid 90s. Ohio State has been the only consistent top team that has relied on the option for most of the last 50 years
Elite Poster Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Dak, Wentz, Goff, Luck, Carr, Mariota, Watson - no, definitely not. Also, look at the upcoming class.

K D Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 We need him to be good. NFL doesn't care In fact they would prefer for him to be bad so our small market team will continue to flounder vs the big market teams with fancy stadiums.

That's as equally bad as the premis in the OP.

Your premise that the NFL wants smaller market teams to be bad is ridiculous. See Green Bay and Pittsburgh.

So you think they would rather see us be good (a team with the lowest valuation, an old crappy stadium with limited corporate sponsors, and the 2nd smallest market) or would they rather see a team like Dallas that is "America's team" and has a billion dollar stadium and the most fans? Use your head. It's better business for us to be bad and for the popular franchises to be good. That's just common sense. Nobody in the nfl is saying wow I hope Nate Peterman is the next Tom Brady because the league makes more money when the Bills are good. Nobody cares

It's not about what they would rather see. The best organizations win regardless of where they are based.

SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Oh look the captain of the Defenders of Tyrod is arguing against people with a pro opinion of Nate. I agree with the premise of the NFL wanting more gunslingers. Proof? Look at the attention Deshaun Watson was getting.
Iron Maiden Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 The NFL couldn't care less about what happens to the Bills.....So no, the league does not need Nate to be good...we do...in a big way....the NFL wouldn't be upset if he's the real deal....but to say they need it is wrong.... 10 hours ago, Elite Poster said: Dak, Wentz, Goff, Luck, Carr, Mariota, Watson - no, definitely not. JinxedBill1 Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Unless your a native Bills fan, the NFL and league see the bills as a farm team to beat to build up wins. We need Peterman to be good to dispel that notion. If not I'm not worried, we get a QB this offseason.
