boyst Posted November 14, 2017 Share Posted November 14, 2017 Slightly off topic but sort of not I was hiking over the weekend and they had one of those overlooks of a gorge and river. And there is a landing, though small, about 12' beneath it. I wanted to explore more so I was sitting in the ledge and told my friend I was going to go down. No one was around... So I just let myself fall down. A woman had walked up right at that moment with her kids and I freaked the !@#$ out of her. It looked like a huge fall if you didn't know better. When I was installing security systems at hospitals, we had one device that would be installed on the roof of the elevator cans. Easiest way to do it is bring the elevator up so the roof was about even with one of the hallway floors. Well one location, when the maintance guy was bring it up, he stopped it about 3 feet short. So I decided I’d just jump down on to it. As I’m in mid jump I hear a scream behind me.
