Taylor is not a starting NFL QB.  Remember WHO decided to make him one here....

Peterman should have been put in after halftime yesterday.  What did they have to lose?  See what the kid can do.

Once again, the Bills coaching staff has no idea how to adjust to an opponent who has game film on them.  How many times have we said this over the years about the Bills approach to games by their coordinators?

Taylor deserves blame but I put the majority of it on McDermott and Dennison for not being aware that teams were going to catch up to the tactics sooner rather than later.

It’s like they don’t start out with the premise “Ok, Tyrod has to be in the pocket.  What can we do to make him successful?” as the Monday Morning question on the whiteboard.

Frazier's should be "why can't we sack anybody?"

You leave your defense on the field for 40+ minutes and they're going to get tired. It doesn't help when Try-hard can't read a defense after 7 (with 2+ starting) years in the NFL. He can't make basic throws, doesn't throw receivers open, gets happy feet when he feels slight pressure, and is essentially become a faster version of Trent Edwards.

Tyrod will never be a sufficient passer in the league. Never.

I'm guessing you didn't watch the Browns vs Bills in 2009 when Derek Anderson went 2 for 17 for 23 yards with an interception lol.

The saddest part about that stat line...

The Browns actually beat the Bills 6-3 haha

Sounds like a trend.

Quote from Jets news outlet:

the Baltimore Ravens completely shut down Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor, and the New York Jets took notice.

After the Bills' Week 1 loss, Ravens defensive tackle Brandon Williams said of the teams game plan: "Make him be a quarterback." He threw for 111 yards in that game, so guess what the Jets' game plan was?

"You just have to keep him in the pocket and make him be a quarterback,"

What is an OC supposed to do when the quarterback won't throw the ball? There's no adjustment for that.

Which makes it more difficult to throw the ball down the field and score a touchdown.

What is really puzzling on this new staff is they are continuing to bang their head against the wall trying to prove fired Rex was smart when he picked Tyrod as a starter.

3 OCs later and Tyrod still in the same problems.

I don't see how you can keep Taylor in at this point.  I really don't.  I know there were a TON of other problems last two weeks, but there isn't many personnel changes you can make at other positions.  Anyway, if they move to Peterman now, here's the potential benefits:

1) You get a half season audition to see how urgent a QB is in the draft next year

2) Peterman gets the ball out much more quickly, which can help with the o-line problems

3) If the passing game is more of a threat, it should help the running game.

4) Getting in more of a rhythm is likely to help the rest of the offense, including the receivers, be more involved in the game

5) If the offense improves, the defense is going to be improved because they won't be on the field the entire time

On the downside, Peterman could totally blow up and the Bills could get killed, but I think it's time to take that chance.

After Miami loses tonight, the Bills are still a game up for the last Wild Card spot, might as well do what they can to get in.

Says every team who shuts him down...

Exposed.

How useless is every single DC who had the talent and didn't bother easily prepping to do this to Tyrod?

This is not the first team to say this.  If Tyrod wants to win next week he better learn how to throw and throw a lot.  We go to the playoffs if he opens up a little, we are out if he doesn't

This is such a cop out. No coach in his right mind is telling Taylor not to throw the ball to receivers when down multiple touchdowns. That's insanity.

Remember, the same coach likes the "run Mike Tolbert up the middle for a cloud of dust" play that makes even less sense.

I was at that game. Edwards was better that day than Taylor was yesterday.

No, that doesn't make less sense than telling the QB to not throw the ball to receivers.

We all love a QB controversy and now we have one.

we have ALWAYS had a QB controversy.  TT has not, is not, and will not ever be the answer.  He simply refuses to and/or cannot throw the ball with anticipation at all.  The "WR group is bad" is no longer an excuse.  Give an average NFL QB Benjamin and Matthews w/ Clay and they can have more than 56 yards.  If it wasn't TT v. Peterman, it would be TT v. who should we draft next year.

TT has NEVER won a game for the Bills.  That's something franchise QB's need to do from time to time.

I was at that game also.  TT is only functional when Shady can run.  That IS NOT a franchise QB.  A good-great QB can win the game, or at least throw for more than 56 yards, when the running game is shut down.   Which, in turn, opens the running game up.   We made the Saints D look like the 85 Bears, the Steel Curtain, etc.

The book on Taylor has been out for some time.

And McD and his staff can't be stupid enough to not understand every team we play is going to continue to stack the box and force Taylor to beat them with his arm and he can't and won't do that.

Just trying to understand why McD is latched on to a guy that Doug Whaley even tried to get rid off before he was fired. It's time to move on.

When the game is close or the Bills are ahead, I'm so glad for a QB like TT who won't throw interceptions. It seems to me people forget how bad many INTs are for momentum, killing drives, leaving points of the board, etc. But when behind, he STILL refuses to throw to his wideouts and let'em fight for the ball. That is stupid. Like his INT stats matter more than winning. He only had one throw that could have been intercepted yesterday. Clay is the cause for the one INT, not Tyrod. But when behind by a lot, you HAVE to take some chances, it's like he never does. The wideouts must be sick of running all day for nothing.

And what happened to his beautiful deep throws? I was fully on the TT bandwagon, as too many people disregard his lack of turnovers and elusiveness while they are amazing sides of him, but his lacks are not getting better at all, and way too big. His lack of accuracy of late is baaaaad. Throwing few passes, he never had the chance to get in a groove, but in the past he still made some killer throws. Now he's become Captain Checkdown.

Tyrod only has his legs to offer surprises.  This is embarrassing, it's time to make a change.  When teams expose TT week after week for not being a proper QB, we are going no where. The blueprint to beat the Bills is our there and now the fall is on...I'd be surprised if we make it to 8 wins...

I hate to simplify it, but NFL coaches can be incredibly stupid.

I'm charitably guessing that the bottom 1/3 of the NFL team DC are just trying to teach them a proper stance out there and how to guard their privates, no time for strategy or keying in on anything by the opposition.

but the top 2/3 should not be fooled for one second by TT's game.
