MTBill Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 I probably missed a discussion somewhere - sorry if this is a duplicate thread. I'm not a Vlad D fan, and it seems like the offense has regressed in the weeks JM has been a healthy scratch. Am I missing something?
artmalibu Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 The coaches feel their chances are better with Vlad.
Buffalo716 Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 Clearly he hasn't bought into the process and the human turnstile has I hate calling Duccasse a turnstile because it is demeaning to turnstiles who only let in 1 person at a time Duccasse would actually be a bad turnstile 4

Especially since some of their run concepts have switched back to last years team. Unsure why he's not playing as well. Was hopeful he'd take over as the young buck on the line but I guess that was a pipedream

Fixxxer Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 He should be the starter, even if he has struggled with the zone blocking. Vlad is useless.
3rdand12 Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 we have no serious answers here. Yet it remains a very valid question for Coach. Might guess he is not picking up the concepts, but seems a stretch. I honestly think Offensive Coaches have been going through Major growing pains this year. and Defe a bit as well. But no Miller or Groy baffles me

Groy is better. Henderson is out again. Who knows what's going to become of this Oline in this 2nd half, but I can guarantee you we'll be drafting both trenches this april. Maybe the way Dennison and Castillo have handled the line will be their ultimate demise. Edited November 10, 2017 by LABILLBACKER
SaviorPeterman Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 I still think this coaching staff gave up on John Miller too soon but looks like Vlad the turnstile is staying in the starting lineup. Either way I expect major changes in the trenches next year. And Wood might be the only guy that is a lock to return because of his extension. Wouldn't be shocked if we have four new starters though next season because still think Glenn will be traded or released and probably the same with Incognito given his age and contact.
Happy Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 I doubt they change the entire O-Line. My guess is they keep Wood, Richie, and Glenn. The right side does need to be changed. Even though Ducasse is Castillo's pet project, McD has to watch the film on him and think 'no way, this guy sucks.' Mills is there because there has not been any better option. Hopefully he'll be depth next year.

The Frankish Reich Posted November 11, 2017 Posted November 11, 2017 Interesting: so far in 2017, PFF has John Miller at 39.7 ("Poor"), and Vlad Ducasse as a higher grade of poor (49). So there is that ...
