Big Turk Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 Stupid for Bills not to pick him up if only to avoid what just happened when we still have to play them twice

After week three, the waiver wire goes the inverse of this season. Right now I think they are 30. Before week three, it is inverse of last season, which would have been 32. I stand corrected, thanks.

Almost like Bennett and the Pats colluded on this to fake an injury and force his way out of GB so everybody thought he was injured and the Pats could swoop in and get him on waivers. And given the Pats history of shady dealings the league would be forced to investigate this especially if Bennett magically plays great down the stretch with the Pats.
JPP Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 Geez how does someone with a rotator cuff tear passes a physical to play?? There's something not right here or some missing info i think,,,,
apuszczalowski Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 Since everyone knew he had a shoulder issue, maybe the Pats picked him up knowing this and the results of a physical didn't affect the decision because they already knew this? He also has 2 years left, so this may have also been a plan for not just the short term. I would bet there were issues behind the scenes with him in GB and they both wanted to cut ties with each over so they mutually agreed on the injury release and GB hoped someone would pick him up.
Chris66 Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 Nothing fishy. Almost every team had access to pick him up

Chris66 Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 He played with that injury last year. Guess its just a partial tear. Seems like pain management thing.
dave mcbride Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 If he had the injury last season, the Patriots knew he could play with it. pretty simple. He was good for them last season. Had a big SB too, including drawing the game-clinching PI in OT.
TheFunPolice Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 somehow I'll bet he is magically all better now
CommonCents Posted November 10, 2017 Posted November 10, 2017 So let me get this straight, Bennett said the Packer organization was trying to avoid paying him a future year (2018) which became a concern when he elected for surgery against the teams recommendation. A day after he signs with a new team he is practicing and the surgery is once again on hold. Who is full of **** here!?
