I'm a West Point grad & Iraq vet w/ 2 masters

My dad: Vietnam vet & entrepreneur
His dad: mason
His dad: sharecropper
His dad: slave.
Mooching? My family never asked for free stuff, just a fair shot.

We can't allow the American Dream to be crushed by you, @Stabenow & Socialism

That's powerful stuff.

That's also Donald Trump's America:  a black man, descended from slaves, owning his destiny, establishing a legacy.

Is 140 the number that is higher or lower than the actual number of cases that have been found of non-citizens trying to vote? I'd of cast a shi tty ballot for McCarthy to count. Did his Irish ancestors vote illegally for Tammany Hall?

Unbelievable. That needs to be a midterm campaign ad.

They scapegoat immigrants enough, don't they?

Look what Taylor Swift made you do.

In a surprise Instagram post Sunday, the music megastar broke her long silence on politics and encouraged her more than 112 million followers on the platform to register to vote.

It seems as though some of them rushed to do just that, according to Vote.org, a nonpartisan group that seeks to increase voter turnout.

In the less than 48 hours after Swift’s post, more than 105,000 new people registered on the site to vote, spokeswoman Kamari Guthrie told The Washington Post on Tuesday.

That put the number of new voters registered on the site in October at 153,978. By comparison, the group said 56,669 new voters registered in August and 190,178 registered in September.

Vote.org is working on comparing registration to 2016 figures to see how much of a spike occurred that year just before voter registration deadlines, Guthrie said. As is the case in many states, Tuesday is the deadline to register to vote in Tennessee in time for the Nov. 6 election. (You can check what it takes to vote in your state here.)

Although Guthrie can’t say for sure yet how much Swift directly affected the spike in registrations, Vote.org had a definite jump in traffic in the wake of her Instagram post. Vote.org typically has 14,078 average daily visitors, Guthrie said. In the 24 hours after Swift’s post — which specifically mentioned Vote.org — the site had 155,940 visitors.

Had coffee this morning with a pollster who leans left and works for a major polling group with a good rep. With the never Trumpers rattled post Kavanugh (and flocking to Trump) they put his internal party numbers over 94% right now which is unheard of. Dems gap has been cut to shreds, expecting them to lose at least two senate seats while underperforming in the house (still likely to add house seats, but not enough to tip it). Was told the newest numbers are off the charts for Trump to the point of them redoing the poll to double check the findings.

For the past two months this person has been very very confident in the House flipping. Today they seemed to be accepting that isn't going to happen.

There really is no principle to this.

Principle is something you put to work in things like work ethic, daily interactions with live humans, etc.

Tibs is paid to post leftist thoughts here and other places (like comment sections of online articles at Fox News or Daily Wire, etc.) regardless of the argument being presented to him. We've seen him duplicate posts under different user names. He simply posts what he's paid to post and then moves on.

Putting him on ignore is addition by subtraction.

No numbers, however, the RNC has been getting donations in steadily since Trump was elected. I'd like to see what individuals raised in the "battleground" races.

Trump lost this district by a whole heckuva lot. What is going on? I laugh about the #redwave, but if something like this is true...

Donna Shalala may be in trouble.

Shalala, a Democrat running in a district that President Donald Trump lost by nearly 20 percentage points in 2016, is trailing Republican TV journalist Maria Elvira Salazar by 2 percentage points in a Mason Dixon-Telemundo 51 poll. The independent poll’s margin of error was 4 percentage points and included a pro-Trump non-party candidate who could siphon votes from Salazar.
