Tiberius Posted April 9, 2018 Author Posted April 9, 2018 Quote A Post-Kaiser Family Foundation poll released last week found: One in five Americans have protested in the streets or participated in political rallies since the beginning of 2016. Of those, 19 percent said they had never before joined a march or a political gathering. Overwhelmingly, recently motivated activists are critical of Trump. Thirty percent approve of the president, and 70 percent disapprove, according to the poll. And many said they plan to be more involved politically this year, with about one-third saying they intend to volunteer or work for a 2018 congressional campaign.

You have never been to a political rally? Not Tea Party stuff or anything? I showed up at a town hall meeting and in 2003 I protested the Iraq War.

The two largest marches since 2016 were last year's Women's March (on a Saturday) and the March for Our Lives (also a Saturday). Imagine how much larger those marches would have been if everyone who works on Saturdays was able to attend.

B-Man Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 Impeachment dreams turn nightmare... Tom Steyer wants Trump impeached, and he’s mad that many Democrats don’t Billionaire activist Tom Steyer is bringing a nationwide town hall tour promoting President Trump’s impeachment to Oakland, but he’s got more in mind than leading a pep rally for Bay Area liberals. He intends to shame Democrats who aren’t cheering along with him. “I think there’s a question about what people are willing to say in public that they know is true,” said Steyer, a former San Francisco hedge fund manager who commands attention in left-leaning circles for the tens of millions he’s spent on registering voters and backing Democratic candidates. Many Democrats aren’t calling to impeach Trump, Steyer said, “because of political posturing before the midterms.” Steyer’s appearance Wednesday highlights a stark divide among the most liberal Democrats: Is removing Trump from office “the most important issue in America right now,” as Steyer insists, or is it premature to move before they have what Dublin Rep. Eric Swalwell calls “an impenetrable set of facts”? Some Democrats fear losing the moral and political high ground by backing impeachment before Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into any Trump campaign ties to Russian election meddling is complete.

No sense in rushing. Wait for Muellers report and then act or don't act on the findings. Sure, Trump is unfit for office, but he has huge support from the GOP and a part of the public. Let the d emocratic process work. If he did nothing wrong just vote him out of office in 2020. If he was tied up with murderous Russians then try and impeach him which will fail. The GOP base worships this guy.

The only thing that came from those marches was further proof that liberals have no idea how to pick up after themselves.

Well, that and you need a better reason to impeach someone than "He's a big orange meanie!!! Waaaaaaaah!!!!!" This is California's fault, with their goddamn recall election...

Tiberius Posted April 10, 2018 Author Posted April 10, 2018 Quote Younger Americans have long told pollsters that they plan to vote and they are set to make good on that promise this fall in historic numbers. And when they do, it will be a wave favoring the Democrats, according to a new survey of voters aged 18-29 from Harvard University’s Institute of Politics being released Tuesday. The survey found that 53 percent probably or definitely will be voting. And of those most likely to vote, 55 percent lean Democratic and 21 percent Republican. https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/washington-secrets/millennial-poll-historic-youth-wave-coming-in-2018-dems-outnumber-gop-2-1
