djp14150
IT would be intersting if he was to resign with Buffalo. With them doing the Carolina trade they dont have the cap space to even sign him.

This team is in incredible long range cap shape........mainly because of a lack of young talent to pay and tons of expiring contracts over the next couple seasons.......talent-wise they are going to have to draft pretty well for a couple seasons to hope to replenish what they are losing........but they can pretty much make whatever moves they desire wrt the cap........the cap situation is a strength, for whatever that's worth. gjv001
If Watkins is the type of player that McDermott wants on his team, sign him. He and Taylor work well together, not to mention Watkins ability to stretch the field.

Upon returning after my little hiatus, I noticed an unusual number of people using "resign", when they mean re-sign. So many, in fact, I sort of became convinced that it became a TSW "thing", like "common man" for c'mon man (which I still don't like). Did that indeed happen, or are more and more posters that ignorant? (Well, both of those could be true.)

He's part of the highest scoring offense in the league that will only get better with time. Maybe because he is the lowest targeted receiver on the team and he wants to get paid? If you thought of yourself as a superstar receiver with HoF potential... would you want to stick on a team that uses you as a decoy and likely will get you less money by doing so? BuffaloRush
Sammy caught 1 bomb for a TD. 1 reception. And now he's happy? He has a lot of talent but it hasn't materialized. It would not surprise me to see LA pass on paying him huge money
Bleeding Bills Blue
They traded a 2nd round pick and a player for him. He won’t sign an extension, so their only option would be a franchise tag. His usage doesn’t dictate that high of a pay day so I think they let him walk and try and secure a comp pick.

Would you want the bills to try to sign him in the off-season? You know the Pats will try to sign him for sure, to play opposite Cooks. It would be crazy to see Benjamin and Watkins on the field together. The Rams are going to make a play for him, and he will not get as much as he thinks he will, in FA. KD in CA
In case some haven’t noticed, the Bills are no longer interested in whiny ‘me’ players. Watkins should go to Carolina. He’d be a great fit with Newton.
