Browns are still amazingly screwed.  Crennel is going to have a tough time turning that bunch of misfits into a winner.

I agree BGIM but it looks like he's getting rid off a lot of dead weight and bad elements. That's a start.

I don't get the Dilfer legend at all. He basically excelled at one thing during the Ravens SB run...not turning the ball over. Inconsistent arm. Little to no touch. A good backup, at best. Holcomb was a better option, until they found their future guy in the draft.

If we had a QB who could be Diflerish, we'll make it to the SB this year.

The Browns agreed in principle on Saturday to a trade that will give bring 32 year-old quarterback Trent Dilfer to Cleveland in exchange for a fourth-round draft pick, according to the ESPN website. Dilfer, who has served as the backup for starting signal caller Matt Hasselbeck throughout most of his four-year run with the Seahawks, will be given a chance to compete for the starting job in Cleveland. The move to acquire Dilfer was made because the Browns were unable to re-sign quarterback Kelly Holcomb, who signed with the Bills on Friday. Dilfer played in 22 games since joining the Seahawks in 2001, throwing 13 touchdown passes and 14 interceptions during the four-year run.
