Tyrod is not Brady or Rodgers, fine.

But if you plan a Chiefs/Eagles type of offense around him, he could be very dangerous. If the Bills are stupid enough to let him go after this season, you'll be watching Marrone and Tyrod taking the Jags to the Super Bowl next year, mark my words.

The eagles like to throw the ball.     He would be a disaster there.

Him in that Titans scheme would be amazing I think..

He absolutely could be very successful in the NFL. He has a winning record as a starter for a team that has had a brutal defense, give him just a good D, not great, a competent scheme, and I believe he can be successful.

We saw today that he is light years ahead of our back up, there aren't many elite guys anymore, Carr,Brees,Rivers all have losing records when they don't have support elsewhere..

This move today was one of the strangest and mind boggling I have ever seen. And McD's evaluation skills look very shaky..

What kind of offense is that?

This whole notion is just so laughable.  Your QB is supposed to lift the play of those around him .... not the other way around.

At the end of the day Taylor has proven he has a ceiling its called 500 football.  If you want 9-7, 8-8 and 7-9 seasons to end its time for the Bills to find the right answer at QB.  Taylor is not it.  Peterman has a dress rehearsal to show what he can do.  He’s probably not “the one”. However, you will not know unless you try. Next is the Bills have to go to the draft.

The move today is really about the future and determining if Peterman is a part of it.  Taylor hit his ceiling and is as good as gone.

Tyrod is a system QB and lot's of system QB's have gone to SB's and some have won them.

Tyrod has been supported by 3 bad defenses in his 3 years.......each successively worse than the one before.

Your "his ceiling is .500" talk is utterly made up fanspeak.........give him a decade of starts like Matt Stafford or Jay Cutler and then maybe you have enough information to say something like that but less than 3 seasons without a good team around him.......well that's not enough proof for such a statement.   Sorry.

Why are your opinions any more valid than those voiced by anyone else?  Tyrod has not proven effective as a starter it’s really that simple.  You can choose to say it’s all the factors around him.

If he is so good why were teams not falling all over themselves to sign him when he was a free agent this past spring?

I am not even sure that he is a “system” player as you argue.  What ”system” the Tyrod Taylor play only on the run and outside the hashes “system?”

Can you imagine if we actually ever land a great QB again!

These QB zealots will flip out!  I mean they thought EJ was good and TT was a franchise player.

What if we had a real QB that everyone agreed was great?

These people would lose their minds.

We wouldn't even know a great QB if we seen one.  The team around him is too terrible to evaluate.

Probably because he never became a free agent.

What you probably are confusing in the situation is that Tyrod and the Bills reworked his contract.  The Bills were not likely to keep him under the former terms. Given this he was free to walk.

Ok regardless of the web address title... where in the article does it say Tyrod became a FA.  Tyrod was never a FA.  New league year started March 9th.  Taylor RESTRUCTED his contract on March 8th.  FA's don't get a restructured contract.

Do you really think that Taylor and his agent failed to explore the options around the league?  The Bills had made it known they were not bringing him back under the old contract.

However, in the interest of not continuing to beat a dead horse, you are correct.  He did not hit the market as a free agent.  He opted to sign at a considerable pay cut to stay with Buffalo.

Yes he opted to stay with Buffalo at a reduced rate.  There are more things than just money to people.  Maybe he likes the team and city.  Maybe nobody else wanted him.  You cant just assume nobody else wanted him because he stayed here though.  Maybe he likes being here.
