transplantbillsfan Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 (edited) we are behind in games. 5th highest passer rating, behind only Alex Smith, Tom Brady, Deshaun Watson (who's had significantly fewer snaps & pass attempts when trailing) and Russell Wilson. Comparable amount of attempts when trailing to all NFL QBs. Too bad our guys fumble and turn it over (O'Leary & Matthews) or simply drop it (Holmes) on critically coverted 3rd downs. Love that we made a concerted effort to involve Jones. Sucks he got hurt. Hope it's not serious. Still 6 rushes for negative yards or no gain. A center who snaps the ball as though his QB is in shotgun when his QB is right up under him. Crazy ridiculous penalties for a team that's been relatively penalty free. Taylor was responsible for maybe a couple sacks, but does anyone seriously think these sacks this year are more on Taylor than an OL, especially after we allowed all those sacks to a team that had 11 total on the year? Love the Benjamin move. Time to make a 2nd half push. Taylor's clearly capable. Hope McDermott loosens the reins a bit Edited November 3, 2017 by transplantbillsfan
Heavy Kevi Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Clearly capable of what? Not trolling, that is a serious question. Sneaking into the playoffs, or being a honest to goodness consistent real QB? I know the team has other issues, but Carolina and Jets are 2 of the worst games we have had in a long time. Offense looked mighty "drought-y" in both outings.
bigduke6 Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Taylor isnt soley responsible for this stinker of a game. but he doesnt get a pass either. there were plays to be had. hes gunshy. that being said, this terrible loss happened in the trenches. Bills plain got beat on both sides of the ball. isnt a big surprise, was going to happen eventually. no big mystery as too how the Bills were winning and teams will eventually counter it. disciplined defensive line killed Taylor all game, no room to move, he cant see over the mess to pass, gg. Taylor hasnt progressed one bit. Hes a QB that needs everything to go right for him to be successful, he cant carry this team when theres no running game and the defense isnt stopping the other team as well as creating turnovers. He is what he is, mobile game manager. Just the facts.
papazoid Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 # 1 - the O-line was embarrassed, especially ducasse & mills #2 - TT is good, but not great. 5th best ?? I see 11th best passer rating and 17th best total QBR rating
KRT88 Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 QB rating is good but the eyes dont lie. He refuses to throw the ball into tight windows and he doesnt antcipate throws. TT is decent but if we had a better options wed be playing that option.

I see 11th best passer rating and 17th best total QBR rating glenn was horrible as well, was getting beat and pushed back into the pocket all game
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 When will people stop with posting stupid stats. Over 100 rating last nights. Are you kidding me? See what garbage time yards do yet. 7. Yes 7 sacks.
BringBackOrton Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 That was pure garbage time stat padding last night. Sheesh.
CommonCents Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 That was pure garbage time stat padding last night. Sheesh. Making Blake Bortles proud.
transplantbillsfan Posted November 3, 2017 Author Posted November 3, 2017 Making Blake Bortles proud. Or Derek Carr from last week. Or Drew Brees in TONS of games over his career. Yeah, 110 of Taylor's 285 passing yards were in what you would call "garbage time." But that garbage time came after a score by the Jets due to the 2nd of 2 absolutely bone-headed turnovers by a receiver who had just kept the drive alive momentarily on a nice pass delivered by Taylor. Taylor was 90% of our offense and he's just not a good enough QB to carry 90% of the offensive burden. I think only 2 or 3 QBs in the NFL could. Glad we have 9 days rest to get Benjamin acclimated and fix some recurring issues with our OL
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 So..... the Jets capitalized on Buffalos turnovers and scored TDs.
