MarlinTheMagician Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Kid showed he is going to be a player. Now just hope he is not hurt too bad. This is a game they can learn from. Hate to say I saw this coming, but I kind of did. Suggested that in another thread only to be told I have a bad case of BBF syndrome. Of course I do, but road game, division opponent, playing for their season, that we already beat once, Bills are jacked about Benjamin, and everyone pumping our tires all week. Kind of foreseeable. When the team is more mature and more used to success it will stop happening. NOT the same old Bills. Growing pains.
hemma Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Yeah, the 'bust' labels being slapped on him were asinine. He'll be a good player for us, for sure.
MarlinTheMagician Posted November 3, 2017 Author Posted November 3, 2017 Loved his route on the TD. Caught balls in traffic. The threads tonight saying we were exposed as pretenders are just as asinine. What a great season so far.
Sweats Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 So, he got a couple of yards tonight and his first TD of the season........it only took him 8 games, mind you. Good grief.
MarlinTheMagician Posted November 3, 2017 Author Posted November 3, 2017 Six and a touchdown in part of a game where offense was rarely on the field. Buzz off. And eight games as a rook is not a long break-in period
cba fan Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 (edited) He went out a 2nd time. Is the injury serious now? Edited November 3, 2017 by cba fan
MarlinTheMagician Posted November 3, 2017 Author Posted November 3, 2017 Maybe not, saw him standing on sidelines late which is a good sign.

JoPar_v2 Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 So, he got a couple of yards tonight and his first TD of the season........it only took him 8 games, mind you. Good grief. Only? So he was supposed to light it up right away game 1 his rookie year? Good grief indeed.
Roundybout Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 Eight games to get your first TD is pretty good..........................................................................................................................rolls eyes. Bench him!!!!
MarlinTheMagician Posted November 3, 2017 Author Posted November 3, 2017 He played well against Raiders too, so make that a seven game break-in period. Sometimes the negativity is a joke.
Augie Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 The guy will be a player. I’m pretty sure of that! I was THRILLED to see him come back out, but I’m concerned about his condition. I’ll trade a road loss for him being healthy. Bounce back, sir!
MarlinTheMagician Posted November 3, 2017 Author Posted November 3, 2017 Joining you in sending good wishes out to the Rook. Feel well Zay!

When the team is more mature and more used to success it will stop happening. NOT the same old Bills. Growing pains. More mature? The problem is we have one of the older teams in the league....so hoping they can get to maturity by next week! As far as Zay goes, he looks like he's emerging. The other guy who's playing much better the last two weeks is Adolfus Washington!
Charles Romes Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 I was about to start a thread called silver lining for the same reason but the thread was already started. Yes it's much more important for the team overall how Zay will play in 2018 and 19 than what happened on the scoreboard last night. He's getting open and becoming a reliable outlet and making the catches. He also has a remarkably injury resistant body to be able to get back on the field after what looked like a possible ACL which separates him from almost all our starting receivers of the recent past.
jr1 Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 we have to be patient. The 2014 draft class was full of prodigies and isn't the norm
YoloinOhio Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 His routes were so impressive. First the one on his TD and then the one where he burned Skrine that led to Skrine tripping him.
Buffalo_Stampede Posted November 3, 2017 Posted November 3, 2017 (edited) Yeah, still wearing #11. His knee went the wrong way. That # is cursed. Change it. Besides wearing #11 he really does impress. Reminds me so much of Chad Johnson. Edited November 3, 2017 by TheTruthHurts
