This is silly.  It's not even been one year, and we're going to can a coach.

just plain stupid.

The OP is the same guy who said based on what McD saw in practice, it was a disgrace he started Peterman..never having seen a practice or even read a description of a practice post-training camp.

His view of McD is totally skewed by the Peterman decision, he will just never see McD as a viable coach, so take what he says with a grain of salt.

I think Dennison is a liability to this offense .... like so many old-school coaches, he doesn't seem to be able to adapt to the players he has to maximize their strengths. No, the players have to adjust to his scheme. And in this case, TT is not a drop back QB. Dennison just doesn't seem to be able to figure out how to best use him.

McDermott is not going anywhere in 17 or 18 (I'll resolve 19 in 1 1/2 years)

Rico, maybe.  We still don't know the root cause.  Experiment #1 was a debacle.

Lets be fair.

Tyrod is not a great QB.

Just look at passing in 1st half of the KC game vs passing in the 2nd half.

You picked the most inept team we have faced ALL season long as your "proof"?

That game should have been won easily with a 12 to 14 point margin.

Whats the excuse for the 2 crap deep passes to Zay that were not catchable!?!

McDermott is not going anywhere.  I don’t understand this post.  Yes Dennison will be fired at the end of the year but McDermott is the face of the Bills we are still in the playoff hunt.  Football in December for the Bills in the playoff hunt is awesome.  We could have vice lombardi coaching the Bills and people would still complain.  Again, who would make you happy coaching the bills.  Jon Gruden is never coming to Buffalo

yes it is........and good

It's like people don't bother watching games and just look at the box score in the end.

Go back and watch the All 22 on Taylor and what you will find is a QB who consistently refuses to throw the ball into windows that a starting NFL QB should be able to throw into: particularly to receivers breaking toward the middle of the field at 12 -15 yards. Even on a 3rd down, when he needs ten yards, Taylor will almost always throw the ball underneath for a 5-7 yard gain rather than make that throw. I have seen him leave too many "potential" big plays on the field and walk off the field after too many "3 and outs" because of his refusal to make those throws. Not a fan of Dennison; however, Taylor has his share of culpability in the inconsistent and often times anemic offense we have seen...

What was it? 7 called passes in the 2nd half?

The OP said what I've been saying all along. The Bills get a lead, and play run it till we punt.... It's a poor offensive philosophy by design and then people **** on Tyrod with the poor offensive numbers.

What excuses? Tyrod is what he is. A solid stop gap QB. McDermott and Dennisons offense this year DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to take advantage of Taylors skill set and is an abomination compared to what we saw last year. The new guys like Vlad Ducasse. That tells you all you need to know about their judgement on offensive personnel.

Try actually reading the thread.

The OP didn't say McDermott should be gone. Dennison absolutely should be. He blows.

OP and this is bang on.  Dennison has not shown a single thing to make this offense decent.

It is on him that the Bills didnt score more vs Cincinnati and Carolina.

Is Taylor without blame? No, but Dennison has handcuffed this team as the op pointed out and as fans we are hoping the Defense gets the job done.

So now Tyrod checks down too much, huh? These narratives are cute.

Then we have the case of Tyrod Taylor, whom Buffalo benched this week. Taylor actually ranked 10th in 3rd down conversion rate (42.4 percent) even though he had the fourth-highest need yards (8.7). His ALEX dropped to -0.1 this season, ranked 29th. We've seen this continued change in Taylor's game. In his first season with Buffalo, his ALEX was +4.5, which ranked second in the NFL. It dropped to +2.3 in 2016, but still good enough for seventh in the league, and he was better at converting plays. Taylor's conversion rate was actually a career best this year, but alas he is benched after the Bills allowed 81 points in two losses. A big problem this year was the massive changes at wide receiver. Taylor was targeting running back LeSean McCoy more than anyone on third down, and those 16 targets produced a -10.9 ALEX. In 2016, Taylor's go-to targets on third down were deep threats Marquise Goodwin (+6.2 ALEX) and Sammy Watkins(+7.1 ALEX). Both of those receivers, as well as Robert Woods (+1.4 ALEX), are in the NFC West this year.

ALEX is a stat which measures how far past the 3rd down marker the QB throws the ball on average. From 2015-2017 Tyrod’s average rank is 13th.

Other QBs that rank below average (16th) in that stat this year include: Russell Wilson, Philip Rivers, Dak Prescott, Alex Smith, Kirk Cousins, Case Keenum, Jared Goff. Ready for a real shocker? Drew Brees is the reigning checkdown king as he ranks 36th in this stat this year. That’s not a typo. Only Mike Glennon and Mitch Trubisky rank lower.
