K D Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 Dumb. Even as a decoy it would strike fear in the Jets
HappyDays Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 If he had played tonight he would have never had a bye. It makes a lot of sense.
Peace Frog Posted November 2, 2017 Author Posted November 2, 2017 I'm guessing they want to give his knee some rest. We'll need him to be as healthy as possible for our playoff run.
BringMetheHeadofLeonLett Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 He's not fitting in. If only there was a way to get our 3rd and 7th back.
Domdab99 Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 I think it's smart...stick to the game plan, let him rest his knee so he can be ready for NO.
Fadingpain Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 Disappointed to hear this. I wonder if it does mean that his knee is a bit dinged up, more than I hoped. There is no doubt he could have added something to the game tonight, even with zero preparation time. Had he been used for nothing but red zone end zone back corner fades, he would have been a good tool in the lineup.
PABillsfan23 Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 Dumb. Even as a decoy it would strike fear in the Jets Thats doubtful
Alphadawg7 Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 Honestly, this is the right move. We all want to see him out there, but it wasn't going to be a smart move. 1. Get his knee more rest (if needed) 2. He doesn't know the offense yet, so his contribution would have been highly limited anyway at best. 3. Tyrod has no timing or rapport yet with Kelvin. Between not knowing the offense, and TT and Kelvin having no time together (dont think they have even practiced together yet) to develop any sort of timing, the odds were highly in favor of little to no contribution and the risk of INT's on miscommunications was high. He will be ready to go next week.
YoloinOhio Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 The Process has spoken... @salsports Im told Bills want to be smart with Benjamin. Hasnt practiced. Just traded. Want to make sure hes both mentally and physically ready to play. Has ten days now to get acclimated in both areas.
stevestojan Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 I really dont get this. Its not like hes taking a roster spot. At least dress him even if he takes zero snaps. Odd to call him inactive. But, Ill trust the process.
elroy16 Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 It's obviously disappointing from a fan perspective, but 100% the smart move. Beyond probably not knowing the playbook or having any rapport with tyrod, he hasn't had a bye yet.
Wayne Cubed Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 If he would have played in tonights game, he wouldnt have had a bye week all season. Plus he would be playing on 48 hours of being on the team and 1 walk through.
WEATHER DOT COM Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 I heard from somewhere it was Benjamin's choice whether he wanted to play or not because of the potential of the lost bye week.
Big C Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 If KB plays tonight, he plays in 17 regular season games right? I think it's fine he sits. Get him ready for the second half run and playoffs!
OldTimeAFLGuy Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 Dumb. Even as a decoy it would strike fear in the Jets ...Holmes surprises again??...stay tuned.............
YoloinOhio Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 @salsports Have to also remember Benjamin hasnt had a bye week. If he played it would be 17 games. More toll on body. McDermott and staff consider everything.
