Tiberius Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/10/17/nhs-provokes-fury-indefinite-surgery-ban-smokers-obese/ Just raise taxes instead
row_33 Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 If they did that, the government would declare any adult over 50 pounds to be obese.
B-Man Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 If they did that, the government would declare any adult over 50 pounds to be obese. Let's see.............so the Government would have some sort of "panel" to decide who gets what care. Hmmmmmmmm........
row_33 Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 Let's see.............so the Government would have some sort of "panel" to decide who gets what care. Hmmmmmmmm........ Up here we put in a soak-the-rich tax on health care, another slice out of the rich folks plenty, people were whooping it up, it kicks in at $45,000 gross income. You are officially rich if you make $45,000 a year....
Tiberius Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 Let's see.............so the Government would have some sort of "panel" to decide who gets what care. Hmmmmmmmm........ Where have we heard that before? Hmmmmmm.....
row_33 Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 Where have we heard that before? Hmmmmmm..... every time a decision has to be made regarding $$$ for health? Right in the midst of every hospital dozens of times every day? I'm sure you have some stupid anecdote that you'll chuckle to yourself over.
Gary M Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/10/17/nhs-provokes-fury-indefinite-surgery-ban-smokers-obese/ So Now they are only offering healthcare to healthy people!
grinreaper Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 Up here we put in a soak-the-rich tax on health care, another slice out of the rich folks plenty, people were whooping it up, it kicks in at $45,000 gross income. You are officially rich if you make $45,000 a year.... Is that like $750 U.S. dollars?
Doc Brown Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 Sucks for body builders if they're using the BMI standard.
DC Tom Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 Up here we put in a soak-the-rich tax on health care, another slice out of the rich folks plenty, people were whooping it up, it kicks in at $45,000 gross income. You are officially rich if you make $45,000 a year.... $45000 Canadian? Canada's measure of "rich" is below the UN poverty line?
Koko78 Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 Is that like $750 U.S. dollars? Don't be insulting. It's about $1,241.95 in US funds.
row_33 Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 The power is in defining a term. People think this is always going to be reasonable.
/dev/null Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 Does this mean smokers and obese can opt out of NHS or will they still be compelled to contribute to a system that denies them service?
B-Large Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 Headline here at home: "US issues blank check to pay for US Healthcare"
row_33 Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 Sucks for body builders if they're using the BMI standard. all NFL running backs and NBA power forwards, the most chiseled men on earth are morbidly obese by the BMI they have put out a second BMI for people who aren't normal body size, it reduces obese to overweight mostly but is still a joke tilted towards insurance standards at 6'6" i should be 170 pounds.... yeah whatever.....
Tiberius Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 Sucks for body builders if they're using the BMI standard. That's right! Weight lifters in general are "measured" to be obese.
ALF Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 No chance that goes through. Of course , should be a warning to push them in a better direction.
row_33 Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 That's right! Weight lifters in general are "measured" to be obese. Vasily Alexeev didn't look to be in the best form during his prime. Again... a power forward in the NBA and running back in the NFL are completely chiseled and considered obese.
