The Now Moment
I think it's telling how much Buffalo values Glenn that Seattle gave up a 19' second rounder, an 18' 5th rounder and Jeremy Lane for Brown. They said Buffalo's price was too high. Looks like we are actually valuing a left tackle that is in his prime. Makes me wonder what Buffalo asked for. SaviorPeterman
We don't know if Seattle made the same offer to the Bills but if they did can't imagine we would have said no. Duane Brown is a good LT but think the Texans got the better end of the deal.
Bills!Win!
So why would we trade one of our best players, yet again?

The Now Moment
So why would we trade one of our best players, yet again? Didn't say we were, pointed out what Buffalo may have been offered and that we are valuing him as we should. I am for keeping him.
Charles Romes
We have seen the difference between when he is in and when he is not in. Let's hope the nagging injuries can be controlled.
BillsfanAZ
I dont think the Bills should have made that trade. I think Glen is better than Brown. I am glad the Bills didnt give him away for nothing. If someone paid a ransom for him then I would understand the trade.

BigBuff423
I agree that probably just in time, Glenn made his value known to the team and when others started asking, they set the bar really high believing it wouldn't be met but if so....then they would take a long, hard look to see the return value. They are building for the future, I don't think there's anyway to interpret their actions in any other light, but they're not stupid either - at least they haven't shown us they are - and saavy, which is nice to say about a Bills FO. So, I think they decided short of a true "haul", they were content to see Glenn back next year and keep moving forward.
J-Bo
Left tackles are extremely hard to find Left tackles are very easy to find! Great left tackles are extremely hard to find!!! I sure hope they don't trade Cordy...we don't need another turnstile there!
Big C
I was reading through a twitter thread where in someone claiming to know somebody who knows somebody said we were definitely shopping Glenn. Obviously needs to be taken with a grain of salt, but if that was the case, I feel that we knew Glenn was good at a crucial position lacking depth league wide, and thus could fetch a high price. And if they were shopping Glenn, I credit the FO in not lowering their price just to move the guy.
djp14150
Buffalo listened to offers...different than shopping him. Lily asked for a 1st given he is not too old and a starting LT under contract for 3 yrs aftet this one IIRC at s not too crazy cap hit.
billsfan89
So why would we trade one of our best players, yet again? Unless there is something I missed it isn't like Glenn was a malcontent or the team was 1-7. I think if the team was 1-7 and a mess you could justify dumping Glenn if you got a really good deal like a 1st and 4th, get good picks and free up some cap space for a team that isn't going anywhere. But at 5-2 why would you trade away a well liked player who has been huge in reviving your offensive line? It made no sense. Just because a player is on a big contract doesn't mean you trade him. Saxum
Maybe the Bills said they would be willing to listen but asked for something Seattle would not give like 2 first round picks as if he was a exclusive Franchise Player.
