The Golfer in Charge. VA Residents let their feelings be kn

Recommended Posts

I did say it sucks when this happens, so now you feel that you have the need to defend your pal.

Since you brought this up.

How many times did Obama golf?

How many times has Dearest Donny played golf thus far? How many of your TAX Dollars are spent chauffeuring him around?

Dearest Donald complained Obama spent to much time golfing and his base ate it up. Now his base can give a ratsass when he does it.

I am, quite vocally, not a Trump guy, and you'd know that if you used the search function or bothered to read or understand any of the posters you're interacting with before popping off at the mouth.

Further, I didn't bring this up, you did. You started a thread about an inconvenienced cyclist flipping off the President, as if that's somehow news worthy or requiring it's own thread, and then made it about how terrible it is that the President inconveniences people by deciding he wants to play golf.

My post was nothing more than a reminder that this is how the Presidency works, because as someone who isn't fan of either our current POTUS or our prior one, I find the hypocrisy of posts like yours absolutely maddening.

As to my thoughts on Presidents golfing? I couldn't care less. The President is always working no matter where he stands, so if a person with as stressful a job as he has wants to blow off some steam by getting out on the course and getting the blood flowing, more power to him. There are plenty of legitimate gripes one could have with either man, and this isn't one of them. It's a purely political argument, with zero bearing on leadership or policy, is absolutely useless as a criticism, and is only forwarded as an argument by those with a political axe to grind whose goal is to foment negative sentiments about the President in order to color public opinion without having to make a policy argument. It's childish, and one of the worst parts of our democracy.

CNN and it's gun moll drive-by media had a counter for the number of times W golfed, when Obama blew that number away his first year on the job it wasn't an issue any more that a president likes to golf.

"W" liked to golf. Shortly after the war in Iraq started up he gave up on the game stating that he didn't feel right golfing while troops were in the field, risking their lives.

W liked to golf.

Obama was OBSESSED with it, even more than Trump.

But Trump is the only one to get grief over it.

At least we know where the POTUS is and he can be carted immediately to Air Force One.

Trump is the one that obsessed over it and wouldn't shut up about it. Now he is doing it all the time. Hypocrite! That's all

I posted a picture of a lady throwing Dearest Donny the bird as he was leaving his golf resort, which is a current topic

You aren't impressing anyone with your intellectual dishonesty.

The entire purpose of your topic was to grind a non-policy related political axe with the sole intention of coloring the current president in a negative light for items not related to governing or policy; and now you're doubling down on the detrimental full-on partisan bull ****.

Stop being the problem.

I am not here to impress anyone.

Are you?

I'm just here for a laugh and stress relief from the rat race. there are some very good contributors from all facets of the political view. and a few really sucky ones as well from the liberal side.

But are you here to come off as a useless hack, and partisan shill?

Because you're doing a bang up job of that so far.

But here's the rub: you don't need to do that.

You could, if you chose, try taking a more metered tack which worked to honestly call balls and strikes from a non-partisan perspective, regardless of your own preferred policy preferences, and make intellectually honest arguments, which while they might be disagreed with by other posters, would at least earn you their respect as a positive contributor to the discussion.

That would be better. We don't have enough of that here.

I never heard anything about Obama's golf game, strange considering he played about 3-5 rounds a week.

Clinton would play as many shots as he wanted until he got it just right and count only his perfect shot, after a round with Nicklaus he boasted he shot a 73 out there and Jack almost keeled over.

I can did it.

Getting your panties bent out of shape over politicians is not worth it. Got to laugh it off.

If I recall correctly, it was Bill Clinton who shut down O'Hare in Chicago for a haircut.

Clinton, Gore,,, can I get partial credit?

Draining the swamp IS a good idea.

The main problem is they let the buffoon in to try to clean it up.

The woman flipping the bird has been fired for violating her companies social media policy....

It was the middle-finger salute seen around the world.

Juli Briskman's protest aimed at the presidential motorcade that roared past her while she was on her usual cycling ride in Northern Virginia last month became an instantly viral photo.

Turns out it has now cost the 50-year-old marketing executive her job.

On Halloween, after Briskman gave her bosses at Akima LLC, a government contracting firm, a heads-up that she was the unidentified cyclist in the photo, they took her into a room and fired her, she said, escorting her out of the building with a box of her stuff.
