Saxum Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 No i have some Pat friends. They actually thought Jimmy G would re-sign for between 5-7 a year and be happy to come back to the Patriots. Seriously Sounds like you need some new friends No he should hang out with his Pats* fans more often on their boards.
The Dean Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 (edited) With I am really surprised at the ignorance of this post. You should be ashamed. I live in Washington and follow this team. If the redskins truely believed in Cousins he would have been signed long term a while ago. Like lots of teams, the Bills included, they found themselves without other, better options. It is really not that hard to understand. And oh yeah, go f... yourself. Where you live isn't relevent in today's world. If you think a QB isn't good, at all, and isn't a leader, you don't give him $24mil. There are LOTS of QBs who are no good, and can't lead, who come with a much lower price tag. I'm not suggesting Cousin's is a top-tier QB. But he's a proven NFL starter. Not a bum. Then again, Wasington's "brain trust" is pretty questionable. So there's that. Guest K-GunJimKelly12 Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 I think the NFL should just suspend Brady for knowing about Harvey Weinstein.
Hapless Bills Fan Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 Who is their backup now? Reportedly, Hoyer was going to be part of the trade but the 49ers just "released" him. Wonder if NE plans to sign him? Other than that....they got no one, not even on the scout team. I looked.
Saxum Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 Not if someone else snags him first. They do, after all, have last dibs on waiver acquisitions. Couldn’t happen to a nicer team. If they really wanted him they should have including him in deal.

Saxum Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 @rapsheet The #49ers originally included QB Brian Hoyer in the trade to the #Patriots but he was taken out for comp. pick reasons. Now released. Whose comp pick reasons?

YoloinOhio Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 !@#$ @pfcentral 49ers didn't initially call to inquire about Jimmy G but Brady. This was second time Lynch inquired but got shot down quick both times
K-9 Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 (edited) If they really wanted him they should have including him in deal.Somebody up thread mentioned that was the original plan in the deal but NE declined because it would have impacted a comp pick qualification somehow. Anyway, I was wrong because a vested veteran isnt subject to waiver wire rules if waived before the trade deadline so Hoyer is free to sign with whomever he chooses. Edited October 31, 2017 by K-9
JaCrispy Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 I love this. Marcia is about to hit a cliff and the Pats now have no plan B. Buffalo dominates the 2020'sLol it just seemed funny seeing "Buffalo dominates the 2020's"...just because it would have been 30 years after the last time we were dominant.

I'd be surprised if NE doesn't sign Hoyer.
KD in CA Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 BB lost his damn mind. I dont understand this take at all. Pats get a pick in low 30s for a guy who sits on the bench. Thats a great return. If Brady gets hurt the Pats* arent going to a Super Bowl regardless of the backup.
K-9 Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 I don't see anyone else wanting Hoyer It’s a moot point as I was incorrect about the waiver rules and how they don’t apply to vested vets if they are waived before the trade deadline.
