That would be a lot, but it could be done. You would have the entire Top 25 covered and it would give more opportunities to mid-major teams. Do some of the teams not play the first round?

That makes sense, keeps the number of teams down while rewarding the best teams thereby keeping the inseason games important. FBS should totally do this. atlbillsfan1975
As a UGA fan it is nice to control what happens. Win and in. Unfortunately that means beating the hottest team.

GunnerBill
I think the playoffs should go to 8. I am not in favour at this stage of expanding beyond 8. I think at that point you risk getting too many games where the outcome is pretty much known beforehand. If I was picking a final 4 now it would be Clemson, Georgia, Wisconsin and Oklahoma. That obviously has the potential to change as the Championship games are played but I struggle to find a route in for 'Bama. If all 4 of those win their Championship games they are in. If Auburn defeats Georgia then I say Auburn jumps Georgia and gets in as a Conference Champ and despite being a 2 loss team it has the H2H over 'Bama and therefore is ahead of them too. If Miami defeats Clemson they are in..... Clemson is probably out at that point but their SOS means it isn't impossible that both make it. If TCU win I think they jump Oklahoma too although that one might be a bit more controversial given that in their regular season meeting Oklahoma beat them and beat them well. Where it gets interesting is what happens with the 4th spot if Clemson, Georgia and Oklahoma all win but Ohio State defeat Wisconsin. The contenders as I see it would then be Ohio State, Wisconsin, Alabama and maybe if they win their championship game USC?

Have a win over only undefeated team left. Makes much more sense to say gave them their only loss imo.

Interested to see what the OC for UGA can come up with blocking wise to get UGA's backs some room to run. AU is just to big and physical right now to play man on man with them. Smart said when he took the job that UGA had to get a lot bigger along the lines, and he is recruiting that way. Saturday is going to be an amazing day of football. I can not wait to see it. SEC is divided into divisions, like the Big 10. Auburn is in their division. They had to beat them for the right to play UGA who won the other division. Same thing happened to OSU last year. Their only loss was to PSU, but PSU was in their division. Even though PSU had 2 losses, only one was in the big 10. They won the tiebreaker over OSU because of the head to head. That’s how PSU ultimately won the big 10 but OSU went to the playoff. They had 2 bad losses on their resume, OSU had 1 “good” loss and three very good wins. Of course, bama can still get in if a few things go their way. They just don’t have a great resume of wins this year. If i do not like Ohio State getting in because of their name or the way they travel, i have to hold Bama to that same stipulation. In my perfect world it is UGA, Okla, Clemson/Miami , Wisc. I am a big UGA fan . There are a lot of similarities in being a Dawg fan and a Bills fan.
