ALLEN1QB
If they can keep winning without Clay, they're just going to wait until he's healthy again. Any word on his return date?
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch
Biggest concern I see with picking up any WR/TE is the time it takes to build up a relationship with the QB. You're not likely to get good value back for him this season. Even when the Bills picked up Loften mid-early season, he didn't do all that much the 1st year. Think that may be part of the problem today with Mathews too. Think that's the position that takes the most time to jell.

Yeah, but he had zero drops. ;-)
TheElectricCompany
Spotrac predicted a 4th I don't buy that for a minute. He has averaged 1200 yards and 6 TDs through the past 4 seasons. Not a chance you get a receiver like that for a 4th. Reggie Ragland was moved for a 4th and never played a snap and was coming off a shredded knee! Sammy was moved for a 2nd & player, Cooks a 1st and neither are as good as TY. If you could get him for a 4th, you HAVE to make that trade. Edited October 30, 2017 by TheElectricCompany
RyanC883
Too much cap money, IMO. Great WR, but only if McD is convinced he could be an asset. TT spreads the ball around, but does not have a #1. I'd be interested in Gore as an insurance policy for Shady this year.

TheElectricCompany
New England got Randy Moss for a 5th and Moss is a HOFer... 4th round pick. He was coming off his worst year (550 yards) and his "character issues" are in a class of their own. The Patriots were the only team that could manage Moss. JoPar_v2
Not for $13M a year No thank you CBF Exactly. Way too expensive for a guy that's always struck me as a little streaky production-wise.
MAJBobby
Cooks went for a late 1st rounder, and Hilton's a better receiver than him. It will take major currency to get it done. Then not going to get him. Keep the picks
TheElectricCompany
Exactly. Way too expensive for a guy that's always struck me as a little streaky production-wise. $11-14 million is pretty much the going rate for a top tier, but not elite receiver. Antonio Brown is $17 million, and OBJ might break that this offseason.

I can recall him breaking off several 200+ yard games paired with Luck. He still just appears streaky to me; I have to dig into his game log though and actually look I could be way off. TheElectricCompany
Cooks is on a rookie contract, as opposed to TY's deal. It's a talent driven league, I don't think the contract, which is fair and reasonable for his production, is that big of a deal. I don't think anyone gives them enough compensation to make this deal go through.

TY costs 6.67X what Cooks does this year. It matters.
John from Riverside
Then not going to get him. Keep the picks Agree with Bobby...this frankly just doesnt sound like the MO of our team. We are going to draft our players....it will be interesting to see what we do with our free agent dollars
Mat68
He is making a stink about targets. I see 0 chance Mcdermott and Beane bring in a diva wr for this team. Hilton, and Bryant have 0 chance of coming to buffalo.

He's worth a 1st round pick and change and no team wants to give up that kind of currency for a wide receiver. BigBuff423
No thank you....I can see adding a WR, especially if Thompson is out, but not K-Y.....I'd rather take a shifty, quick WR that is perfect for the slot and let the big guys battle on the outside
26CornerBlitz
@TomPelissero In addition to Vontae Davis and T.Y. Hilton, the #Colts have had trade talks about Donte Moncrief, per sources. Getting calls and listening.
