Knicks&Bills Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 It will probably take at least a second to get it done, and if we do that it would almost be trading Sammy for TY, which is a bad trade.
The Now Moment Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 No. Trying to free up cap not tie our hands for this offseason
Dragonborn10 Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 It will probably take at least a second to get it done, and if we do that it would almost be trading Sammy for TY, which is a bad trade. No it would be Sammy for TY and Gaines. TY is under contract for three more years. TY is a proven WR. A second round pick next year is a lottery and does nothing to help this year. That said, I think a third and a 5th get it done.
baskingridgebillsfan Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 what would be the point , they wouldn't use him .
MRW Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 It will probably take at least a second to get it done, and if we do that it would almost be trading Sammy for TY, which is a bad trade. People need to stop overrating Watkins based on potential. Look at actual performance.
boyst Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 It will probably take at least a second to get it done, and if we do that it would almost be trading Sammy for TY, which is a bad trade. i would expect it could be done with a 3rd or a potential adolpheous washington + 5th/6h.
Pbomb Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 why, we barely throw to wrs. would take atleast a 2nd, and would probably get minimum production on a average weekly basis. why change whats working
aristocrat Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 It will probably take at least a second to get it done, and if we do that it would almost be trading Sammy for TY, which is a bad trade. Not even a close comparison as ty is signed for 3 more years and a much more consistent guy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The juice Posted October 29, 2017 Author Posted October 29, 2017 i would expect it could be done with a 3rd or a potential adolpheous washington + 5th/6h. Id asssume Washington is not going anywhere with the trade of Dareus
boyst Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 Id asssume Washington is not going anywhere with the trade of Dareus i want to see a snap count for him today
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 A big reason we don't throw much to WR is they aren't strong enough to scare the opposing defense. Put a guy like Hilton out there with Mathews and a combo of Jones, Holmes, and can't recall the guy who had 100 yards last weeks and defenses will need to start paying more attention. what would be the point , they wouldn't use him . why, we barely throw to wrs. would take atleast a 2nd, and would probably get minimum production on a average weekly basis. why change whats working
The Now Moment Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 Wideout is not an important position on this team to waste both draft picks and take on that big a salary. Do people not understand they are trying to clear cap space for small contract players because we are a system franchise now? Find players that fit the system. A high salary WR doesn't fit this system, sorry
LA Grant Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 Hard to see T.Y. as a fit for the McDermott style. I think Thompson is going to be the deep threat / speed guy.
B-Man Posted October 29, 2017 Posted October 29, 2017 However, the Colts won’t want to simply give him away. Moreover, Hilton (we’re told) won’t be inclined to renegotiate a contract that pays him a salary of $8 million this year, $11 million next year, and $13 million in 2019 No thanks.
MiltonWaddams Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 No thanks. That, as much as the assets required to obtain him, is the deal killer. In my estimation, purely based on the deals made to date, this FO is working to obtain draft capital and cap flexibility in the coming years. Jettisoning Dareus is not the move made by a team attempting to take on the salary of a player like TY.Is he a good WR? Yes. Is he the difference between a Super Bowl and a playoff appearance, where the Bills are looking to be headed as of today? Extremely doubtful.
zonabb Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 what would be the point , they wouldn't use him . Exactly this.
BarleyNY Posted October 30, 2017 Posted October 30, 2017 People need to stop overrating Watkins based on potential. Look at actual performance. Exactly. TY Hilton’s performance has been far better than Watkins’.
