Will we use him, though? What will it do for Tolbert?

Doubt it. Inactive most likely. Really wish they'd give him a couple carries to see what he can do

would you use him over Jones?

Tough call this week after the hero play jones made on Sunday. Would be a slap in the face and doesn't seem like a McDermott move. So maybe not this week. I'd give jones some of Tolberts touches though. If he doesn't produce, then maybe go with Banyard next week. This week would be a matchup that I'd like to see jones and Banyard out there over Tolbert but I know that isn't going to happen.

Hard to say. Banyard has gotten no action. Jones has only gotten a couple plays, but looked good on them... other than slowing his route to the endzone.

Hopefully more blocking, less running...

How so? Lots of bad has been said about Fat Mike...but he's been consistent. He will never break a sexy 80 yard TD..but he punishes defenses when he runs and tires them out. He is very valuable as a runner even at this stage in his career.

Honestly speaking, what i said wasn't necessarily a shot at Tolbert, but more so that I've wanted Banyard to back up McCoy as the running back since preseason.

I definitely don't mind giving the big guy the carries on 3rd and shorts (with some playaction hopefully because everybody knows when it's 3rd n short and Tolbert is on the field, it's almost a guarantee we're running), but I never really felt comfortable with Tolbert being the #2 guy in case McCoy got hurt.

I think Banyard has a similar running style as Shady (or at least more similar than the other backs we have), plus, isn't afraid to find holes in the middle while Shady looks to go to the edges.

But yeah, my comment wasn't really a knock on Tolbert, just more a personal preference on liking Banyard as the #2 back.
