OhioBills Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 Love him or hate him, at least he stopped Bon Jovi. Very grateful for the Pegulas in the end.
PromoTheRobot Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 (edited) Love him or hate him, at least he stopped Bon Jovi. Very grateful for the Pegulas in the end. Trump didn't stop Bon Jovi. Terry Pegula's $1.4B did. That 12th man group was nothing more than a sideshow for the media to glom onto. Edited October 26, 2017 by PromoTheRobot
OldTimeAFLGuy Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 Love him or hate him, at least he stopped Bon Jovi. Very grateful for the Pegulas in the end. ....their OVERALL commitment to WNY region is astonishing.....Sabres, Bills, Bandits, Rochester Americans, music/entertainment company, Harbor Center, numerous real estate investments, etc.....I'd say the "Golden Goose has landed"......

It’s amazing what the ability and opportunity to spend billions will do.....
OldTimeAFLGuy Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 It’s amazing what the ability and opportunity to spend billions will do..... ...I'll NEVER know...WELL beyond my pay grade bud....I'll have to leave that to Terry...........
Kelly the Dog Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 It’s amazing what the ability and opportunity to spend billions will do..... Add "willingness and disregard for profit."
Lurker Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 It’s amazing what the ability and opportunity to spend billions will do..... A great epitaph for a tombstone...
PromoTheRobot Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 If true, thank you Mr President!! For what?
BobbyC81 Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 Glad Pegula bought the team, but I would enjoy the weekly twitter wars Trump would have with his players and coaches. He would've likely vowed to "Make the Buffalo Bills great again", found loopholes around the salary cap and other rules, opened his pocketbook in pursuit of the best talent but in the end probably had similar results as Washington's Dan Snyder and others where the sum of all parts doesn't equal a great successful team. How many USFL titles did the New Jersey Generals win under his ownership? Zero!
sodbuster Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 Bon Jovi = Toronto Bills Trump = literally anywhere but Buffalo Bills. thank god for the Pegulas. I think he saw the Bills as an easy way to build a Trump Niagara Falls resort world. Think of all the government grants and tax breaks that would be at his disposal, in a one of a kind location.

buffaloboyinATL Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 For what? for keeping Bob Jovi from moving the Bills to Toronto. (If true) or for even trying.
PromoTheRobot Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 (edited) for keeping Bob Jovi from moving the Bills to Toronto. (If true) or for even trying. Read the article. He didn't do anything that mattered. Terry Pegula's bid was all that was needed. That little astroturf group made the news and that's about it. Shame wasn't going to stop Bon Jovi. Terry Gas Bucks did. Edited October 26, 2017 by PromoTheRobot
Domdab99 Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 People often ask on this forum what would make you quit the Bills....well, if Trump had become owner, that would've done it for me.
TheFunPolice Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 Once it looked like Pegula was going to be the owner it was kind of humorous listening to how dedicated Bon Jovi and Rogers and all the Toronto money people would be to keeping the Bills in WNY as they desperately tried to salvage their bid.

DC Tom Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 (edited) Ha. Tyrod would have been cut eight times, given a raise nine times, benched twelve times, and told we were trading for the best skill players in NFL history in two weeks fourteen times. And half the playbook would have been tweet-vomited to the world. Edited October 26, 2017 by DC Tom
Kelly the Dog Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 And half the playbook would have been tweet-vomited to the world. Nah. This is a book we are talking about. He can't and won't read "Goodnight Moon." He's not going to read, let alone understand a playbook. Granted, I know he doesn't understand a lot of stuff he retweets.
YoloinOhio Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 The Bills would be playing the Covfefe 2 Defense.
