BillsFan4
http://buffalonews.com/2017/10/24/pegulas-absorbing-costs-hold-funeral-keybank-center/ Wasn't sure where to put this - As the title says. Pretty classy move IMO. I'd guess it cost them a pretty penny to do this.
Sig1Hunter
Awesome. I don't live in Buffalo, but I've been following the story pretty closely from Florida. It really warms my heart reading about and seeing how the city and its residents are supporting Officer Lehner, his family, and his BPD brethren. It's too bad that it often takes tragedy to bring togetherness in our country. What the Pegulas are doing - and how the community (I, too, am reading about it from afar) has come together to honor Officer Lehner - is beautiful. Sig1Hunter
Sounds like K9 Shield will be partnered with a new handler at some point. The human aspect of the story is heartbreaking. The loss of the dog / human bond just makes it that much more heartbreaking, to me. I'm definitely a dog guy, and a cop. So, it hits extra close to home. Was lucky to get my K9 partner retired to me when I promoted out of the unit. Now I get doggie kisses for life.
