BillsFan4 Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 http://buffalonews.com/2017/10/24/pegulas-absorbing-costs-hold-funeral-keybank-center/ Wasn't sure where to put this - As the title says. Pretty classy move IMO. I'd guess it cost them a pretty penny to do this.
Sig1Hunter Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 Awesome. I don't live in Buffalo, but I've been following the story pretty closely from Florida. It really warms my heart reading about and seeing how the city and its residents are supporting Officer Lehner, his family, and his BPD brethren.

It's too bad that it often takes tragedy to bring togetherness in our country. What the Pegulas are doing - and how the community (I, too, am reading about it from afar) has come together to honor Officer Lehner - is beautiful.
BuffaloBill Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 Very classy move on the part of the Pegulas
Marv's Neighbor Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 It's an action that undoubtedly speaks louder than any words. Way to go Pegula family!
Augie Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 Very classy. Nice gesture. Makes me proud that they are our owners.
Beast Posted October 25, 2017 Posted October 25, 2017 God bless Officer Lehner, his family and the Pegula’s.
CowgirlsFan Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 RIP My condolences to all. Quite classy of the organization.
Shamrock Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 Any news on how his 4 legged friend is doing?
Sig1Hunter Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 Sounds like K9 Shield will be partnered with a new handler at some point. The human aspect of the story is heartbreaking. The loss of the dog / human bond just makes it that much more heartbreaking, to me. I'm definitely a dog guy, and a cop. So, it hits extra close to home. Was lucky to get my K9 partner retired to me when I promoted out of the unit. Now I get doggie kisses for life.
