Nick the Greek Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 We should have traded Kaelin Klay for for Cato Kaelin and OJ Simpson now that hes outta the slammer. Oops!
John from Riverside Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Although I can't see it and hope it doesn't happen because I think he's a good player, I think the choice to release Clay at a spot we still are thin, vs. a 5th tackle in Conor McDermott reflects that Glenn is definitely in play as available. Doesn't guarantee anything, but this says something about them not wanting to cut into their depth at a position they might be trading a player from. It doesnt say this at all
Numark3 Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 This may have more to do with shareece wright's play more than anything. God was he bad
Saxum Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Wright was playing injured; nice to kick him when he was down.

I watched that Denver game on Sunday ticket.....the play of their tackles was horrendous. I dont think Elway wants to waste their defense on an offense so bad. I can definitely see him making a move.

stevewin Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Kinda glad to see they weren't stubborn and were willing to move on from Clay after "trading" for him
Charles Romes Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Our front office is showing a knack for knowing when a guy is and when a guy is not worth keeping. I can sense that the whole league is paying particularly close attention to all our moves. It's a good feeling.
Big Turk Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 We should have traded Kaelin Clay for Kevin Seymour You sure about that? Seymour got burnt by Tarik Cohen for a 70 yard bomb TD yesterday...
26CornerBlitz Posted October 24, 2017 Author Posted October 24, 2017 You sure about that? Seymour got burnt by Tarik Cohen for a 70 yard bomb TD yesterday... It actually wasn't a TD, but yes he was beaten.
MiltonWaddams Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 DT was a relative revelation in the passing game yesterday and made Clay so expendable. This regime loves to tinker and, based on the results, their tinkering is a very, very good thing for us fans. The weeks up to the trade deadline are going to be interesting in these parts.

I rather doubt it. It'll be the usual crickets on that day I expect with the deadline only eight days away. Edited October 24, 2017 by 26CornerBlitz
HurlyBurly51 Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 Good, one less a-hole to kneel during the anthem.
billsredneck1 Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 getting rid of clay was a no brainer because thompson is going to pay off in spades. i said in another thread that given tt's background with dt and what they did on sunday ,i am excited to see what happens going forward. i think dt, combined with matthews and the others is going to boost this passing game beyond what any of us expected or hoped for. i think having dt on this squad can make tt a 300 yd. passer with ease on a regular basis. with dt, matthews, clay and oleary, we could turn into a nightmare. this will make our running game lethal. i am so pumped. i think we struck a whole new gear and are really going to get this offense on fire. i am so psyched!
MiltonWaddams Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 Good, one less a-hole to kneel during the anthem.I get it, but take it to PPP. Let's just leave the discussion to actual football here.

I think the first to go would be Jordan Mills
MAJBobby Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 Calls himself a press CB. And has return ability as well. Here is an interview he did prior to the 2016 Draft. http://draftbreakdown.com/2016/04/18/2016-nfl-draft-prospect-interview-tony-mcrae-cb-north-carolina-at/

NC A&T isn't too far from Charlotte. I'm sure Beane and his boys saw him play a few times.
NoSaint Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 Wright was playing injured; nice to kick him when he was down. Wasn't wright rated out as the worst corner in the league last year? We might be waiting awhile for him to be back up.
TigerJ Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 Damn, you’re quick! Even if Poyer & Gaines are good for Sunday, we’re still to thin back there. Anybody got the skinny in this guy? Undrafted free agent in 2016. He's a bit undersized and averaged 40 time for a CB. He was on the Baltimore Ravens roster this season before he was released. Played mostly special teams. If he's forced to play a lot of defense in the near term, the Bills are going to be struggling.
