Green Lightning Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Expected Clay to go, DT made him expendable.
Kirby Jackson Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 (edited) We should have traded Kaelin Clay for Kevon Seymour Edited October 24, 2017 by Kirby Jackson
Chandler#81 Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Damn, you’re quick! Even if Poyer & Gaines are good for Sunday, we’re still to thin back there. Anybody got the skinny in this guy?
Sig1Hunter Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 (edited) When the Bills win the Super Bowl this year, half of the league is going to end up getting a ring. Edited October 23, 2017 by Sig1Hunter
Will-GM-for-food Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Glad to see Kaelin go, dude was only added because he was a Panther

SaviorPeterman Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Nice to see this regime evaluated Clay quickly and not going to keep him around just because of the Panthers connection. Was worried he would be a pet project wasting a roster spot for multiple years like so many HC/GM's tend to do with certain players. As for claiming another DB, this address the concerns of not carrying more than 4 on the active roster but also may be an indication that Gaines injury latest set back isn't good and might miss a game again.

The lack of production from Clay, the emergence of DT and the need for DB's made him expendable.
artmalibu Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 We should have traded Kaelin Clay for Kevin Seymour We still win we have the 7th round pick in the pocket yet
Nick the Greek Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 We should have traded Kaelin Clay for Kevin Seymour we should have traded Clay for the guy who flips burgers at McDonalds. They have the same level of ability Id say.
OldTimeAFLGuy Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 We still win we have the 7th round pick in the pocket yet ....thought the 7th was for a franchise QB???.......
BuffalothruMyVeins Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Although I can't see it and hope it doesn't happen because I think he's a good player, I think the choice to release Clay at a spot we still are thin, vs. a 5th tackle in Conor McDermott reflects that Glenn is definitely in play as available. Doesn't guarantee anything, but this says something about them not wanting to cut into their depth at a position they might be trading a player from.

Marv's Neighbor Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Expected Clay to go, DT made him expendable. Cato, we hardly knew yee!
artmalibu Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Clay was bad, not sure what they saw in him They had a guy that they were going to cut so they took a flyer on a guy of a position of need(speed receiver) and grabbed a 7th to boot. He was likely the best guy they could get for nothing.
