Scott7975 Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 For the game he made one catch for 11 yards. 2 catches for 17 yards actually. Stat line is wrong. I remember seeing them and verified in the game logs.
mikemac2001 Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Targets and catchable targets . I already said I might be wrong I don't have a play chart and count it. But just from the flow it didn't seem like he was awful
Scott7975 Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Jones has had his drops but not all are his fault. Some throws were not on target. Correct but just like Taylor needs to take advantage of the limited pass plays he gets... Jones needs to take advantage of balls that hit him in the hands.
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Correct but just like Taylor needs to take advantage of the limited pass plays he gets... Jones needs to take advantage of balls that hit him in the hands. True. But having to dive for it to hit him Im the hands. We won no need for complaints.
ChicagoRic Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Remember Eric Moulds in his first two seasons? Was looking like a colossal bust. Patience.
mykidsdad Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 I found this at encyclopedia.com: "Rice's rookie season had a rocky start. He dropped a record fifteen passes, a feat not lost on the press or the fans. In retrospect, Rice blamed his early failures on the complex offense that Walsh ran. He simply had to learn the moves, he said, to the point where he could run a play without thinking about it." My fingers are crossed that Zay gets it, but true story: my kids were playing that game where we throw the football around and whoever drops it get a letter. We call it three drops sometimes. And my thirteen-year old daughter said, "Lets call it ZAY for Zay Jones." And for about an hour yesterday we played "Zay."
cale Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Why this kid is on the start with Brandon Reilly on the PS is beyond me. This is just the Bills trying to make a second round pick look good because his position coach is someone who had experience with him in college. Totally dumb. I hope it doesn't come back to bite us in the ass.
Elite Poster Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 He is struggling. Badly. Regime needs to stand by it's own mottos and make him sit. He's not helping us. Bills Fan of St Augustine Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Best hands of any WR drafted by the Bills this year!
LA Grant Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Zay will be fine in the long run, but they need to sit the kid and let him watch and adjust. With Deonte Thompson showing what he brings to the offense today, I'd much rather have him out there every play with Matthews & Holmes.
Marty McFly Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Zay jus needs time to adjust and get his yips out. I havent lost faith in him tho. With how DT played, some of the pressure on jones should wash off and he will play better. Count on it.
bobobonators Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 We just need to be patient with Zay. Weve seen this many times with young WR. That being said, i fully get the frustration.
Sweats Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 And yet another wasted draft pick (actually, i think we wasted 2 draft picks to get this scrub)...........................yikes.
LABILLBACKER Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 I'm so sick of hearing he caught 100,000 passes in college. Seems like he's dropped 100k here in the NFL. I'm still pulling for him but I'd sure like to see Reilly given a shot.
Roundybout Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 And yet another wasted draft pick (actually, i think we wasted 2 draft picks to get this scrub)...........................yikes. *insert face palm meme here*
Augie Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Zay will be just fine. The haters will look silly down the road.
Uncle Joe Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Perhaps he could use some off season tutoring ala Eric Moulds. Are Jerry Rice and Aeneas Williams still available? http://www.nydailynews.com/archives/sports/buffalo-moulds-perfect-fit-article-1.811502
Augie Posted October 23, 2017 Posted October 23, 2017 Zay will be fine. Stop being smart, start jerking your knee and you'll be fine in the long run. :
