Turk71 Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 The reason Ty throws it and the reason Matthews catches it, is because the play is designed to go out of bounds. Thats on the coaches. We know our QB isn't heady enough to make the right decision. It's about knowing your personnel. You don't throw 50/50 balls to DropZone Jones, know your personnel.. But what was the point of gaining a few yds???
Kmart128 Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 True that. Cant wait to see McD explain that Please its not just on Sean... 4 mistakes happened there. This is the order of who is at fault Dennison- Needs to call a play that is to sideline or to endzone. Not in bounds. Tyrod- Should have realized that the Matthews cant get out of bounds and throw it away McDermott- Sean needs to make sure Tyrod is aware of situation Matthews- Should have just dropped the ball and should have realized once he got tackle to get the ball to ref as fast as he could. He wasnt aware
Pine Barrens Mafia Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Oh oh oh, I know! Throw it to him and blame the OC! Bingo! Now you're an initiate in the church.
JerseyBills Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 C'mon Over. First possession TD, put these bums away
GunnerBill Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Before Tyrod even threw the ball I saw the drop and was already cursing. That is on coaching.
TFBillsfan Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Taylor looks pretty good imo Not seeing it. Take away his running yardage and it was a very average half throwing the ball.
Royale with Cheese Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Ok. Make the case that that was Tyrods fault. Everyone else seems to be on the same page as me so this should be entertaining. Alternatively you could try watching and understanding football. Tyrod is a vet QB, even with a bad play call, he should not have thrown a short out when the WR needs 10 yards to run out of bounds. That was a think on your feet moment and he failed miserably.
HappyDays Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 https://mobile.twitter.com/nicholasmendola/status/922168969473265665 NO END ZONE ROUTES. #Bills looking to... what? Make shorter FG?? To all eviscerating Tyrod... if it's not McDermott, it's Dennison.
BananaB Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 i should give Taylor a pass in that situation, its only his 7th year
MDH Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 let's say you're an NFL quarterback, and you see your receiver has no chance to make a play that will end with enough time for a FG. what do you do? You do what the coach wants you to do. I rip TT all day long in Sundays but trying to blame him for a ridiculously stupid play call is a bit much. It makes one lose their credibility. I cant even fathom the reason for that call. 2 yards closer for an already short FG attempt?
GunnerBill Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Not seeing it. Take away his running yardage and it was a very average half throwing the ball. Agree with that. I don't put the play at the end on him really but generally Tyrod hasn't been great.
JerseyBills Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Not seeing it. Take away his running yardage and it was a very average half throwing the ball.Running is part of his game though, can't take 53 yards away, they count the same
KRT88 Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 My 12 year old new you can't call that play! How can an OC and multi year starter not know that!
HappyDays Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Tyrod threw it and Matthews caught it. Thats on the coaches.
Royale with Cheese Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Before Tyrod even threw the ball I saw the drop and was already cursing. That is on coaching. Mind numbing play call but mind numbing throw. Both equally at fault.
Domdab99 Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Anyone else notice that O'Leary seems to make one good catch a game and then disappears?
