Buffalo_Stampede Posted October 18, 2017 Posted October 18, 2017 I'm not a subscriber to PFF but they have graded Ducasse much higher than Miller this season. Ducasse at 73.8 and Miller at 39.1. Maybe the coaches have the same grades. https://www.profootballfocus.com/nfl/players/john-miller/9514 https://www.profootballfocus.com/nfl/players/vladimir-ducasse/5586

Or perhaps Vlad already bit Castillo and Castillo is serving as Vlad's henchman? He is a descendant of this guy: Edited October 18, 2017 by PolishDave

The rest of the D is performing great. Top 9 players are on D. Offense needs lots. RG close to the top of the list. QB, WR,WR, WR, WR, WR as well as eventual replacements for shady, clay, Ritchie and wood. Good thing we have lots of picks.

What are his qualifications? Watching the Bills? Don't we have that covered? I don't want to be a hypocrite, I listen to Joe B for updates but I would not make personnel moves based on his grades or PFFs.

Umm, how can we possibly accept anything other than the coach's opinion then. I assume he focused on every play, something few do. So Joe B would be a better source then anyone that didn't. I don't want to be a hypocrite, I listen to Joe B for updates but I would not make personnel moves based on his grades or PFFs. This is valid. But Joe B's low grade on Miller kind of matches up with PFF's low grade on Miller. Two very different sources presumably using different methodology came up with the same conclusion: Miller's not playing well. It's concerning.
hemma Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 There is probably a better practice squad player out there that would improve on Miller. Beane's crew needs to locate him. I think Miller is running out of time.

I think their algorithm for rating OLers has a few logic errors. They once rated All Pro Jason Peters as "the worst LT in the league" when he was a Bill. I guess that's why the Bills traded him to Philly where he's only made All Pro a couple more times despite a serious Achilles injury a few years ago. Edited October 19, 2017 by SoTier
