Saxum Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Would you give a crap if by them doing it they were insulting your customers and losing you business? Some customers are crap and not worth the effort to keep. Worked a job where 5% of the customers took 95% of effort.
Boatdrinks Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Some customers are crap and not worth the effort to keep. Worked a job where 5% of the customers took 95% of effort. Lol. The only " effort" involved here is NOT doing something. Pretty easy to do.
BobbyC81 Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 howard and dandy don would boost the ratings. maybe they should consider doing a monday night virtual retro show? "Turn out the lights, the party's over!"
Matt_In_NH Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 i dont get espn. i would watch on network tv but i am not willing to pay for espn
Big Turk Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 (edited) good playoff baseball games are on..it will pick up again like it always does Edited October 22, 2017 by matter2003
Dr.Sack Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 Demographic changes. My family brothers dad no longer go to games or watch football. This started around 2014. I think people are aging out. Its nice to blame other factors, but most fans are old now. Younger fans dont care about watching games, so much as they do about stats/fantasy.
Rico Posted October 22, 2017 Posted October 22, 2017 I blame the Peyton Manning commercials. They sure don't help.
billsfan714 Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 (edited) officiating and commercials. I do think the officiating is a factor. You cant have a punt with a return without a flag. The catch rule cant be explained. The key breaks the better teams sure as hell seem to get at critical moments. Edited October 24, 2017 by billsfan714

The key breaks the better teams sure as hell seem to get at critical moments. There were a lot of flags last night but I have to say.... there were a lot of fouls. The standard of play, especially on offensive lines, is so sloppy. Either we tell refs to just allow holding for the benefit of a tv spectacle or we want the games refereed properly and they throw flags.

Chicken Boo Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 For me it's overload. Thursday night and Sunday night games, plus I watch each Bills game on DirectTV. By the time Monday rolls around I'm done. Bingo! Take away the Thursday night games and watch the MNF resurgence.
row_33 Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 Bingo! Take away the Thursday night games and watch the MNF resurgence. After a tough day at the ratrace, I'm not sitting down to spend hours watching.... Browns at 49ers.... WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, thanks MNF!!!!!
Foreigner Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 People are watching on other devices, as there are are a lot more choices now that are not counted in the ratings.
DaBillsFanSince1973 Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 Bingo! Take away the Thursday night games and watch the MNF resurgence. basically killing their own ratings. greedy bastards.
TheFunPolice Posted October 24, 2017 Posted October 24, 2017 one issue is that Tony Romo doesn't call every game. Is there a way to make this happen? After listening to him call TNF the MNF crew is boring and disinterested sounding. Gruden needs to go back to coaching.
row_33 Posted October 26, 2017 Posted October 26, 2017 Romo, for me, is destroying all the other puppetheads pretending to do anything calling a game. He explains the game in quick and useful detail, anticipates correctly what they are thinking for strategy. Makes Collinsworth and Gruden even worse to me, didn't think that was possible. C&G: "hyuck hyuck the refs were right again, they always are..." C&G: "the QB stood there and then threw it, catch of the century, wow!!"

Think he is not afraid to criticise players or to disagree with his play by play guy.

Like Collinsworth isn't a dealbreaker, but he's too corny and moralistic as well. "I looked Tom in the eye, I looked Tom in the eye, and I said I DON"T KNOW!!!" repeat in a hillbilly whiny voice 35 friggin times already....
