26CornerBlitz Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Feeding an NFL team for a week? Start with 700 pounds of chickenIt's no surprise that an NFL cafeteria serves a staggering amount of food, but in this health-conscious era don't expect burgers and fries. Some NFL players weigh more than 300 pounds. If you think those players can walk into their team cafeteria and eat whatever they want, think again. In the ultra-competitive modern NFL, players and teams are looking to gain an advantage wherever they can. Nutrition has become an important component of building a winning team, which means NFL teams carefully control what players eat while they're in the practice facility.

Foreigner Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Does that type of kale chip make the players feel better and take away their pains at halftime?
Fadingpain Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 A couple weeks ago, Eric Wood commented on team diet/eating during his weekly Monday segment on GR-55 with Schopp and Bulldog. He said it has definitely improved since when he first joined the team, meaning players are eating healthier diets that are constructed with some kind of nutritional plan in mind. He also said he has trouble keeping weight on during the season, and so he eats fattening stuff just before bed and what not. I think he said he is at 305 right now but he would ideally like to be maybe as light as 260 (?) when he retires for every day normal life.
