26CornerBlitz Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Watt undergoes season-ending surgery on his leg J.J. Watt suffered a bone fracture in his left leg in Sunday's loss to the Chiefs. On Monday morning, the Houston Texans pass rusher tweeted about his injury, apologizing to fans and his teammates. The 28-year-old played just three games last year before being shelved. He's dealt with back, groin, hand issues in the past. But we've never seen him in as much pain as he was being helped off the field Sunday night. The latest knee injury might not just end his 2017. It could significantly alter the rest of the career of one of the most dominant defenders in NFL history. He just cant seem to stay healthy the last few seasons.
Chandler#81 Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 WHOA! Terrible news! I was at our game there, the EJ Funeral Game. He single-handedly beat us. Well, EJ was starting but..
GoBills808 Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 He just cant seem to stay healthy the last few seasons. Eventually they catch up with everyone. ...steriods, I mean. Not injuries. Although they do go hand in hand.
Blokestradamus Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 What does this have to do with the Bills? After the infamous EJ game, I believe he owned the Bills so badly, he became a minority shareholder.
HumbleAndHungry Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Yeah they lost two of their top defensive players in one game both out for the season mercilus and watt tough blow for one of the leagues top defenses
Lurker Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Well, on the positive side, he might walk away from the game someday with less CTE risk...
/dev/null Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Too bad. From what I've seen he's a class act on and off the field. So much for the Watt family reunion in Houston this year (Steelers @ Texans on Christmas day)
cantankerous Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Tibial plateau fracture. That's not good at all. He may need a rod from proximal tibia down to his ankle. It's a bad injury.
BobChalmers Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 My 4th round pick in my IDP league, of course.
Marty McFly Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 That sucks. I wanted the texans or cheifs to challenge the cheats in the afc this year.
stevestojan Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Tibial plateau fracture. That's not good at all. He may need a rod from proximal tibia down to his ankle. It's a bad injury. I did a little googling on this injury. Wow it seems awful. 3 months before ANY weight and the fracture generally leads to knee tears as well. Awful.
Royale with Cheese Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 I did a little googling on this injury. Wow it seems awful. 3 months before ANY weight and the fracture generally leads to knee tears as well. Awful. I read somewhere that one bad side effect going forward could be problems with blood flow to the knee.
Big Turk Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 Damn that doctor is on the money..was right about Clay also
BringBackOrton Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 I read somewhere that one bad side effect going forward could be problems with blood flow to the knee. Depends on the break.
The Frankish Reich Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 I'm not a huge Watt fan, but .... I kind of wanted to see what that front 7 would look like with Mercilus, Clowney, and JJ all going at full strength at the same time. It had promised to be legendary, but now I doubt it will ever happen.
Paulus Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 What does this have to do with the Bills? Steroids.
Doc Brown Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 What does this have to do with the Bills? Draft order. That's my standard response.
