bobobonators Posted October 10, 2017 Author Posted October 10, 2017 Yeah let's fire the OC five games into the season sitting at 1st place in the AFC East. Makes sense. I would argue its the best time to do it.
Paulus Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 Peterman makes more sense for this offense. Either TT or Dennison needs to change.
xRUSHx Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 (edited) Didn't take as long as I thought it would. Tyrod would move on to OC#4. How many OCs will Tyrod have with the Bills, place your bets. TT is not a good fit for any O that requires passing. OC#4 and maybe by years end #5. I would argue its the best time to do it.Yes bring it on, fire him, bring out the billboard. Then when the new OC figures out what Tyrod needs he can take off running out of Buffalo by seasons end when his scheme also is not wanted. SMH Edited October 10, 2017 by xRUSHx
Nick the Greek Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 Greg Roman was the key behind Shadys sick running game. Bring him back. Lynn was good too but you can lure someone away from a HC gig.

Lynn was good too but you can lure someone away from a HC gig.Neither will ever coach Tyrod again in my opinion. It's tough to find a OC willing to dumb down their scheme so Tyrod can run it. Teams know how to stop Tyrods simplified scheme now, stop the run and make Tyrod be a QB. It was over for Tyrod by the end of last season, he should have never been brought back. The team has been winning in spite of Tyrod not because of. Edited October 10, 2017 by xRUSHx
Wayne Arnold Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 C'mon man. Look what Rico did what the run game. Has absolutely nothing to do with the WRS. He took the number 1 rush offence to trash. How do you explain that with the same running back and virtually same o line minus cordy glenn missing a few games? If McDermott had kept Anthony Lynn and the Greg Roman offense we would still be having the same issues right now.
BillsFan130 Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 If McDermott had kept Anthony Lynn and the Greg Roman offense we would still be having the same issues right now. Based on what?

StevieJohnsonGOAT Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 We have a RB playing QB. What OC would have success in that situation?
OldTimeAFLGuy Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 ...blasphemy!!.....an OC that takes advantage of his QB's athleticism and goes rogue outside "the system"...... As expected, Bears offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains called rollouts and bootlegs for Trubisky to maximize not only his quickness and athleticism outside the pocket, but also his accuracy.

As expected, Bears offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains called rollouts and bootlegs for Trubisky to maximize not only his quickness and athleticism outside the pocket, but also his accuracy. Ha. Seems like a no brainer. Other than the Denver game, the playcalling has been pretty bad. And again, Tyrod aside, our team cant run. A team built to run, cant run. thats the issue at hand. If you cant coach up the offense to at least focus on what they do well, what are you doing as an OC? Shady has 0 rushing TD and is averaging 3.2ypc. Ducasse is starting in the oline bc apparently hes better at Dennison's run blocking scheme than Miller. F'ing Ducasse. End it now. I dont want this scheme anywhere near a rookie QB. Not to mention that its going to take an entire new Oline just to pick up Rico's dysfuctional run blocking scheme. 2-3 more seasons to get the personnel in there. Rico = Rex. No thanks. And for what? An OC that has been tied to the hip with Kubiak the majority of his career? An OC that hasnt had success on his side of the ball in over 5 years? Very Rexy. Move on now. Its inevitable. Rip off the Band-Aid.
Wayne Arnold Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 Based on what? Based on an obviously premeditated organizational decision to develop Taylor into a pocket passing NFL quarterback as opposed to a running back who takes snaps from center. The elimination of the read-option and any designed QB running plays combined with Taylor making multiple progressions as opposed to one-or-two-reads-then-run has made it much more difficult to run the ball. This is bad for the short-term but long-term it's going to show whether or not Taylor is worth investing in as the franchise starting QB for longer than a season or two. And again, Tyrod aside, our team cant run. A team built to run, cant run. thats the issue at hand. If you cant coach up the offense to at least focus on what they do well, what are you doing as an OC? This team wasn't "built to run." It has to run out of necessity because the quarterback's record when attempting over 30 passes is abysmal.

They keep trying to fit square pegs into round holes. That in and of itself is Rexy. That is a problem. No matter who the QB is or will be in the future. They're royally messing up the Oline. Theyre making Shady out to be garbage. Shady hasnt had such a poor season his entire career. Whats the x-factor so far? What a coincidence, Siemian is having a better season already as soon as Dennison leaves. When your RB makes more $$$ than your QB. And your QB is a running QB, and you lead the league in rushing (by a lot) for 2 straight years, the team was built to run. Now ive heard it all. Your right this offense was built to pass the ball. Rex came here and said I want to spread it out. Spread formation every play. 5 WR sets. Stop the madness.
hondo in seattle Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 (edited) While I think changing OCs in mid-season would probably be a mistake, I sympathize with the sentiment. What Dennison has done to our running attack is criminal. Edited October 10, 2017 by hondo in seattle

It's for the long-term benefit of the organization. The Whaley/Marrone/Rex days of sacrificing the future in order to win now now now are over. Stop what? Rational and logical thinking? This front office didn't sign Shady. They don't want a running back at Quarterback. They want a quarterback who can pass the ball. Do you still think Rex is head coach? This is an odd post.
xRUSHx Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 (edited) TT with OC#4 Didn't that used be a song many years back, or was that mombo#5? This thread has little to do with TyrodYeah sure, Tyrod has little to do with this system, ok Edited October 10, 2017 by xRUSHx

26TrapDraw Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 Ive already lost faith in Dennison and his offense. He seems out of touch. Getting rid of him may be a bit extreme but isn't this typical Buffalo Bills for the last 17 years (the Dark ages) We have a very good not great Defense and our offense is absolute garbage. One day we'll be good in all three phases at the same time. Waiting for the draft to get quality players like the desperately needed WR's that are not on this roster are going to backfire on McBean. Mark my words, McDermott will lose this team if these kids don't feel like they are getting help from mgmt. Don't care who is OC with Tyrod, teams are going to game plan to stop the run and make Tyrod be a QB. The only fix for this offense and the running game is to get a QB that can throw the ball so teams stop game planning the way they are. Gugny Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 So we've got an old O line. And old RB. A schitty QB. And a WR corps that would be on most teams' practice squads. And we want to fire the OC. Brilliant. !@#$ing brilliant.
hondo in seattle Posted October 10, 2017 Posted October 10, 2017 Greg Roman was the key behind Shadys sick running game. Bring him back. Lynn was good too but you can lure someone away from a HC gig. From what I've heard, Roman has some leadership/interpersonal shortcomings that tend to get him into trouble. But maybe you bring him back as the run-game coordinator. He clearly has a genius for run schemes and the Shady-Taylor-MG running machine last season was magical.
