Campy Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 It may not seem like it, but that's a huge signing 263339 Yup - I like this signing too.
Kelly the Dog Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 kffl took some liberties. Lenny said KH is "capable" of competing for the starting job. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/stor..._len&id=2005327 263452 Amazing. The Browns can't sign Kelly H. to be a starter for 8 million for four years because he's asking for 10 million, and then we swoop in and sign him for 6.6 mil for four years to be a backup. Gotta love it.

Alaska Darin Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 We're gonna have to butter your ears for you to get through the doorway. 263456 Why should today be any different?
Thailog80 Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 Best possible backup available. Hands down. 263343 A great name also.
Alaska Darin Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 A great name also. 263472 You don't say?
IDBillzFan Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 Personally speaking, I'm very disappointed by this signing. Clearly, the brass at OBD are lost in their ability to find true back up talent because if they had any sense about them at all, they would have brought Flutie in here. Everyone knows Flutie would adjust better to JP's gameplans...and everyone knows that Flutie just wins. It's what he does. He wins. We could have gotten Flutie at what clearly would be fair market value, and it's clear that all you chuckleheads who like hiring of Holcomb are nothing more than TD butt-kissing kool-aid drinking chumps. Kelly Holcomb, indeed.

Alaska Darin Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 Geez.... What a difference 2 signings makes.... 263479 The rollercoaster is firmly on the tracks.
its only real shh Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 I like it, last week I said to my man we should consider Holcombe but he said he thought he'd rather start then come in as a guaranteed backup, he said that and I immediatly dimmissed the thought of it, until now...someones gonna see me outside later.

John from Riverside Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 Geez.... What a difference 2 signings makes.... 263479 I think it is the quality of the signings..... The OL might not seem like much....but I bet we got an excellent deal on him.... As usual.....TD is being thrifty

The pretty young lass in your avatar has religion listed as "Any" in her profile. How do you think she would feel about a man nearing AARP age (who despite that just went half-sies on a newborn son) who worships a streaking Buffalo????

And all that dead cap $$$... what was TD thinking!
RJsackedagain Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 The Bills have a new backup QB and insurance for JP Bills signed Kelly Holcomb, formerly of the Browns, to a four-year $6.6 million contract, with a $2 million signing bonus. A curious move by Holcomb and a great find for the Bills. The Browns reportedly had $8 million on the table for Holcomb to be the likely starter in Cleveland. But he choose to go to Buffalo to be the presumptive backup and mentor for J.P. Losman. This hurts any possible fantasy value. John from Riverside Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 You what is the really nice thing about it.... It is a 4 year affordable deal....every single one of those years is affordable.....we dont have to cut him after this year..... It settles our QB situation in nicely.....now lets work on the pieces around it.......
Sound_n_Fury Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 Hey, maybe he's betting on TV putting another big hurt on JP in training camp! http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/story/8253862 "Holcomb is a good fit, with experience as both a backup and starter. Bauer said he's already informed the Bills that Holcomb would have no problem playing behind Losman. Holcomb's deal includes incentives based on playing time and if he should take over as starter for any reason."
Justice Posted March 5, 2005 Posted March 5, 2005 and the #10, again. It seems like the Bills only sign QB's that wear 7, 10 & 11.
