Webster Guy Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Im still shocked at the idiocy of that move. Dalton and AJ must've been laughing about it after the 77 yard pitch and catch that ultimately was the difference in the game. Cant blame TreD, I'm assuming it was some kind of mental error by Hyde? Did anyone see anything in the post game? The cornerstone of the McD/Frasier defenses has always been safety containment to avoid that exact type of play. 10 men on the field at the end of the Atlanta game and then we start a tough Cinci road game with that. Shades of Rob n Rex.
NoSaint Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 We can't expect it 100% of plays. It's got to be a priority but it can't be always.
Royale with Cheese Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 You can't have the same exact coverage the entire game. You have a 1st round corner that just got beat. It happens. If it's just that easy to just have a safety over the top 100% of the time against a good WR...there would never be a deep ball completed.
K D Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 after that they double teamed Green most of the game. the db's just didn't know where the ball was. if they turned their head they would have picked off a few more. Dalton was just throwing it up for grabs
Bleeding Bills Blue Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 we weren't getting a ton of pressure, if you bring extra rushers then you're less likely to have help

Ramza86 Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 I feel like Dalton is just our Kyrptonite. We got to him, but he was very mobile and escaped a lot of pressures. He did a great job. I think its crazy to give one on one like that against Green.
Jasovon Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 we could have had 5 picks that game, the Bengals are a bad team.
TPS Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 I'm not sure if that was the play where it looked like the safety bit On the play fake or not? There were several big plays where it seemed the bills got caught expecting run.
Houston's #1 Bills Fan Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 we could have had 5 picks that game, the Bengals are a bad team. Still needed to score points on offense.....
Boatdrinks Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Rookie CBs get beat. White has the ability to cover Green. He just didn't think AJG was going to push upfield. He guessed wrong. It will happen. Without Eifert in the game you would think some safety help was warranted.
row_33 Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 You know a Green is going to rip you for a few great gains. And that was all they needed yesterday.
sjjr Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 White did a nice job on him with the exception of a few plays. Green is a great player but the Bills have one of the best young corners in the league.
JPicc2114 Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 The safety looked confused on that play. It looked to be designed to have a safety over the top
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 3 turnovers to his 2 scores. Doesn't seem that bad considering. we could have had 5 picks that game, the Bengals are a bad team. I hope that's sarcasm. otherwise you are saying the Bills suck.

Hyde or Poyer (not sure which one it was) clearly should have had coverage over the top. He wasn't even showing blitz, or playing the run. He was out of position, and should have recognized the 1:1 coverage on AJ Green. He was essentially covering no one. Yes, Tre got beat badly, but that's AJ Green. That just cannot happen, but people do make mistakes.

I was beside myself he was in single coverage , great to hold them to 13 after that but that's too easy like you said
CanadianFan Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 you know that's what I was thinking the entire game... why are we playing MAN when our secondary's banged up? when it's known that's NOT our strength? why wasn't there ANY help? And FVCK OUR FRONT 7 COULDN'T TOUCH ANDY! HE WAS CLEAN AS A WEDDING CAKE GROOM! SITTING ON TOP OF HIS CREAMY MOUNTAIN LOOKING DOWN AND PICKING HIS NOSE! Defense failed as much as offense did in this game.
