atlbillsfan1975 Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Shame about the Knee, it looked like Clay and Taylor were developing some chemistry. Having said that, if we don't think Taylor is the long term answer at QB who cares about his chemistry with Clay?

Having said that, if we don't think Taylor is the long term answer at QB who cares about his chemistry with Clay? I just think it will be interesting to see what they do to address the loss of Clay for what is going to be like 5 games or more. If this was a "win now" situation (I don't think it is!) they would be acquiring a body to try and replace him the best we can.

Kelly the Dog Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Logan Thomas or Khari Lee most likely. That's reassuring.
PABillsfan23 Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Cant beat the Bengals while forcing 3 turnovers dont deserve playoffs. On to next year.
JM2009 Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Cant beat the Bengals while forcing 3 turnovers dont deserve playoffs. On to next year. lol But we beat two SB contenders the last two weeks. But that means nothing. A four point loss on the road with injuries is the final say.Ridiculous.
FLFan Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 (edited) i also thought the hit was dirty Unfortunately the NFL allows those hits - not against the rules. They were several similar tackles yesterday, some by the Bills. Each time I am amazed the player taking that hit is not injured. It is time the NFL did away with targeting of the knees by DBs. row_33 Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Gunner, the pros are differently built and get the best treatment possible, so we never know until the immediate swelling and trauma dies down. And their pain threshold is beyond that of mortal men. The hit was fine, Gronk gets hit like that a dozen times a game. Clay as the feature receiver wasnt a long term plan.
simpleman Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 TRUST THE PROCESS!!!!!! Its a long season ✅ Check is in the mail The Doctor is in the office And I won't .......
26CornerBlitz Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 @ChrisBrownBills Charles Clay underwent a knee scope. He'll be out multiple weeks according to McDermott. #Bills
YoloinOhio Posted October 9, 2017 Author Posted October 9, 2017 @profootballtalk Bills TE Charles Clay underwent knee surgery this morning. He had torn meniscus and sprained MCL per source.
Royale with Cheese Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 @profootballtalk Bills TE Charles Clay underwent knee surgery this morning. He had torn meniscus and sprained MCL per source. Meniscus is the bad word in football.
YoloinOhio Posted October 9, 2017 Author Posted October 9, 2017 I think it depends on what type of surgery it was - trim or repair
San-O Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 wow. Clay was looking really good and seemed the only real option at TE/Receiver. There goes the already non-existent passing game.
Lurker Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 Meniscus is the bad word in football. Not nearly as bad as ACL. It's likely Clay didn't have much cartilage left anyway... http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/torn-meniscus/symptoms-causes/syc-20354818
Big Turk Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 So is it safe to say done for the year? No probably will be able to be back in late Novemeber or early December, likely 5-8 weeks depending on how fast he heals
YoloinOhio Posted October 9, 2017 Author Posted October 9, 2017 Is this the same knee that he he was always getting drained?
