Shhhh, don't say logical things on this board. I've learned to keep it short and to the point so maybe at least a few can understand.

My bad. I'll try to refrain next time.

McDermott already shut down the ridiculous notion yesterday.

McD will always back the starter until a decision is made to make a change and I wouldn't expect anything different.

I've already acknowledged that we won't see Peterman unless Taylor is carried off the field.

I'm the biggest Taylor fan on the forum

The point was refuting your assertion about throwing over the OL which isn't an issue.

It is an issue, just maybe not for you.

My point is players with obstacles to overcome use other attributes to help them do it.

T Mobiles wheels for instance...

You're telling me. Let's review recent "conclusions" about Taylor :

  • He can't see over the line
  • He can't see the whole field
  • He can't read defenses
  • He can't get rid of the ball on time
  • He can't throw with accuracy
  • He can't "lead receivers"
  • He can't make decisions
  • He can't throw over the middle

And so on, ad infinitum ......

Here's Taylor's numbers the last two years throwing to a moderately good pair of receivers (Watkins & Woods) - not super all-pro, but moderately good :

63.6% comp. 8.25 YPA. 27 TD passes. 6 INTs

Isn't amazing that a quarterback with so many irredeemable flaws can perform so well with decent (not great) NFL talent to work with?

How can it be worse, the rookie can make mistakes to lose games with turnovers even if he gets more yards. It is likely things would get worse actually. Maybe it is still the right move but you can be certain it could get worse.

You know who else scored high, even higher than Rogers?

Fitzpatrick, Gabbert and Kaepernick. Even Johhny football scored well on it.

It is not a reliable characteristic of a good quarterback. Not even close.

People who say things can't get worse don't realize how much worse things can get.

You are so right about that.

If the Bills don't figure out something with the passing attack, it is going to get a lot worse.

  • He can't see over the line - It's a problem but Russ Wilson is 2.5 inches shorter so it's doable
  • He can't see the whole field - He has slow progression speed, if that's what you mean
  • He can't read defenses - No, I think he can read defenses just fine
  • He can't get rid of the ball on time - Sometimes he can, but not often enough.
  • He can't throw with accuracy - This is false. His accuracy is fine.
  • He can't "lead receivers" - False
  • He can't make decisions - Be more specific
  • He can't throw over the middle - He's improved on that this season, which is nice

I do think one inch helps along with whats upstairs

Apparently "what's upstairs" didn't help Peterman complete better than 54.4% of his passes, for anything better than 5.7 yards per throw, or for anything longer than 28 yards.

This, mind you, in preseason, against the 2s-4s, playing against vanilla defenses, when nothing counts.

Youda think that extra inch would have counted for more, huh?

Is Brees the norm, absolutely not.

he's grasping at straws

You and I know who TT is and what he's failed to prove what a passing QB need to prove. If others want to think he's All That... who's fooling who?

Funny for people wanting specifics and criticizing us for it ..... they sure do generalize.

...LOL....Dan McGuire was 6'9"......sure paid off for him.......

To tall and QB's are throwing downward to adjust in many instances in my humble opinion.

It doesn't work...

No. I was refuting a silly point about throwing over offensive lineman.
