Canadian Bills Fan Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 https://sportstalk360.com/buffalo-bills-place-former-2nd-round-pick-on-trade-block/ Interesting thought CBF
PaattMaann Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 (edited) thanks for posting, but I disagree about it being an interesting read. "The Bills line has been better with him sidelined"???? No. Dawkins has done a pretty good job filling in, for a rookie, but our best line would be Glenn-Incognito-Wood-Miller-Dawkins.... and I highly doubt the author knows about Glenn being "placed on the trading block" considering how tight lipped OBD has been since McBeane took over. oldmanfan Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 I hope not. Look around the league and O line play is poor overall. If they like Dawkins then move Glenn to RT.
Max Fischer Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Which team wants an expensive, injured player who's condition is difficult to determine?
26CornerBlitz Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 In my opinion it does not make sense. I'd rather wait until he's healthy and put him back at LT full time and then get Dawkins ready to take over at RT.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted October 6, 2017 Author Posted October 6, 2017 I just thought it was an interesting thought. It would free up more cap space, net us another draft pick in return CBF
Juice_32 Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 I'd prefer him at RT if it came to it but the best option is to not rush him back. Let him get healthy and lets give it one more go at LT. If he can get back to form he is a solid player.
clayboy54 Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Perhaps Mills has a brother that we could hire to replace him!
PromoTheRobot Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 (edited) https://sportstalk360.com/buffalo-bills-place-former-2nd-round-pick-on-trade-block/ Interesting read CBF Story with no author on a website I've never heard of and no actual evidence that Glenn is being offered for trade, other than saying it's "understood?" Sounds legit to me. Edited October 6, 2017 by PromoTheRobot
thebandit27 Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 I think that would be a mistake. You have a very good LT who, when healthy, locks up a critical spot on your OL that you don't have to think about. Let Dawkins play until Glenn is healthy, and then decide where he fits. If it's RT, great, you now don't have to think about that. If he needs to kick inside to guard, so be it. If it comes down to that he can't play RT or guard, then you see what you can do with Glenn possibly moving to another spot temporarily. Whatever it takes to get the best combination of 5 on the field is what's most important.

BillsFanMike Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Nope not a good idea. Keep him and build the team up.
aristocrat Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 According to cap sites it doesn’t save money until next year and you always need depth. We need o line depth. Maybe in the off season but not now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
PromoTheRobot Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 (edited) Don't forget Seantrel Henderson is back week 6, I think. Does McDermott keep him or give him the Walt Powell heave-ho? Edited October 6, 2017 by PromoTheRobot
Lurker Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 https://sportstalk360.com/buffalo-bills-place-former-2nd-round-pick-on-trade-block/ Interesting read No offense, but this article is the antithesis of "interesting." It makes the Bleacher Report look like MMQB. Likely two kids playing around in their basement with a laptop or a couple of drunks who think they are 'astute talent evaluators'...
GunnerBill Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 What Bandit said. Don't forget Seantrel Henderson is back week 6, I think. Does McDermott keep him or give him the Walt Powell heave-ho? Heave-ho at a guess. Maybe they keep him and finally cut Ducasse.
26CornerBlitz Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 Don't forget Seantrel Henderson is back week 6, I think. Does McDermott keep him or give him the Walt Powell heave-ho? I suspect they'll activate Henderson and waive McDermott.
scribo Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 The difference between an actual playoff run and another disappointing finish will be depth. We need it in the right places, and the o-line is one of the most important places. Don't get rid of anyone who is serviceable at this point.
YoloinOhio Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 No way. The OL will be better with a "healthy" Glenn. I assume Richie is having to help Dawkins more than he would Glenn. And if Dawkins can take over on the right side it would be great.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted October 6, 2017 Author Posted October 6, 2017 Sorry all I meant was the article imposed an interesting question (IMO) about whether the Bills should consider moving Glenn CBF
