SaviorPeterman Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 Former Bill Lee Smith (and current teamate of Manuel in Oakland) pumping him up now that he's starting again. I really hope he starts against the Bills. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000856954/article/raiders-te-ej-manuel-didnt-have-what-he-has-now?campaign=Twitter_atn "EJ didn't come into the greatest situation years ago in Buffalo," Smith said, via NBC Sports Bay Area. "We were in a building process up there, and we didn't have Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree and Jared Cook. Not to say we were terrible back then, but he didn't have what he has now. "He was a 22-year old man with great expectations as a first-round draft pick. It wasn't the best situation for him, but he always handled things like a pro. He's a good quarterback and he's a good man. I'd let him babysit my kids."
fridge Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 Ten years from now, when he's out of the league, I hope the in-season EJ Manuel thread count will drop below 5.
YoloinOhio Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 Long live the 2014 screen passes to Lee Smith, with Sammy blocking. Thanks Hackett
SaviorPeterman Posted October 5, 2017 Author Posted October 5, 2017 (edited) I actually wouldn't be surprised if Manuel lights it up this week against the Ravens in a home game. Some Oakland fans will probably believe they have a legit QB controversy on their hands. Edited October 5, 2017 by SaviorPeterman
TPS Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 (edited) I thought he did very good coming for Carr last week in a tough situation. He gave them a chance. Edited October 5, 2017 by TPS

Captain Murica Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 (edited) Long live the 2014 screen passes to Lee Smith, with Sammy blocking. Thanks Hackett I still cant fathom how he is able to occupy a job in the NFL. I also wouldnt be surprised if he and St. Doug were more than co-workers. Edited October 5, 2017 by Captain Murica
teef Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 What if the Bills lose to EJ and Oakland? i just don't believe in a reality where this can happen.

So that's something. Seriously he is a good guy. If the talent was there with him he is exactly the kind of guy to build around. Unfortunately, aside from a comeback win against the Panthers...his career highlights mostly involve hard counts.
The Wiz Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 What if the Bills lose to EJ and Oakland? Bills_Fan_4_Ever will make a triumphant return.
Royale with Cheese Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 Either Lee Smith is creepy and regular baby sitters don't want to come to his house or EJ has bad spending habits where he needs a side job.
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 EJ Manuel is one of the worst qbs I have ever seen get significant playing time in the NFL. Give him what ever he wants, he will still be terrible. I hope he plays every game for Oakland
DC Tom Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 I thought he did very good coming for Carr last week in a tough situation. He gave them a chance. I thought so, too. He looked better than I'd ever seen him. Even his interception wasn't a bad throw - reasonably accurate, and he gave his receiver a good chance to make a play on the ball.
Andrew Son Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 Oakland is still favored in this game. It's free money. EJ is EJ
YoloinOhio Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 Bills_Fan_4_Ever will make a triumphant return.whoa - blast from the past
BmarvB Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 I thought he did very good coming for Carr last week in a tough situation. He gave them a chance. I was hoping he'd win that game for them. I'm pulling for him Sunday. GO EJ!!
Zac Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 Well Lee Smith is an authority on the absence of talent, so i'll trust him on this.
BringBackFergy Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 i just don't believe in a reality where this can happen. It could happen easily...I see EJ leading his team down the field at New Era solely by using voice inflection and cadence at the line of scrimmage. He'll gain 340 yards through off-sides penalties alone.
