• The Bills are 3-1. Coach Sean McDermott has made a very big deal (some inside the team would say an obnoxiously big deal) about not turning the ball over. The Bills turned it over on their first possession of the season, a tipped interception. In their 43 possessions since: zero turnovers ... including another clean game in Sunday’s 23-17 upset of Atlanta.

obnoxiously big deal?

Let's see. Based on the history of the NFL:

-1 in turnovers = you lose almost 90% of the time.

-2 in turnovers = you lose almost 95% of the time.

-3 in turnovers = you lose almost 98% of the time.

There are always exceptions, but this is the most telling statistic in football. If a coach was going to be obnoxious about anything, this should be it.

But the guys on the radio tell us we should not be concerned about turnovers and our qb needs to risk more ints in order to make more plays.

It probably means that he gets the point across to excess and some players likely admits off the record that it brings many eye rollls and internal groans . Other than that it means next to nothing, really.

I like Peter King but that's just weak writing. Don't throw some rumor like that out there without some kind of substantiation.

These guys have to assure that some things are said in confidence or they wouldn't get such nuggets from players et al.

If we had just one T/O in either Denver or Atlanta games, I don't think we win them. JMO.

The players MAY think it's obnoxious, but I say 'Thank you, Coach!'
